Minhyuk is one of the few and well-hidden young of his kind to live amongst the human population. He comes from an ancient and noble family but only knows of his grandparents, the people who raised him in a house on the top of a hill overlooking a little town after his parents never came home from a vacation when he was almost three years old.

Afraid their grandson would also be taken from them, they never allowed him to go anywhere outside of school (Minhyuk thought it was a miracle he was allowed to attend at all), its library and to the local shop. It was unhealthy and feeling trapped, he decided to run away with the help and strong push of his friends from high school, joining them in long travels together, though Minhyuk did send letters to his grandparents letting them know he was doing okay.

Settling down in a lively city, Minhyuk did some modeling jobs for online shops and usually worked as a waiter and other to get by. he surprisingly found a group of other supernaturals who he got along with and who welcomed him warmly into their group and only wanted to live a simple and calm life as a human rather letting go and causing trouble over the city and Minhyuk never felt quite as happy and as content in his life before.

One day he accompanied a friend to the academy who had a job interview and strong anxiety and needed some support. He found there was an open place for a groundskeeper and was encouraged to try, he'd soon be without a job as the restaurant he worked at had little customers and the owners planned to open a new one far away in another city where they hoped there'd be more life, which brings him to where he is currently a hardworking and enthusiastic groundskeeper.
