hello, hi, how are you? i'm yuzuru - hanyu yuzuru. to many that name means nothing, because i'm not a fancy singer, or rapper, or actor. no, i'm a figure skater - a two-time olympic gold medalist figure skater, representing japan among many other awards and titles.

i'm 25 years of age, going on 26 this year and i've been skating for 21 years. the ice is my life, and i express myself through figure skating. i can be clumsy, awkward, quiet and shy when i'm not on the ice. i've been called pretty, beautiful, ethereal and graceful when i'm skating.

i've been dating the most amazing person, maybe you know him or maybe you don't because like me, he isn't an idol or actor or model- he's a figure skater. the beautiful uno shoma, although honestly, his name is hanyu shoma, and has been since we got married in august of 2019. together we have three beautiful children: twin girls kiseki and hikari as well as our little son, eiji. we would like another and have been trying but so far, no luck.

i don't enjoy coffee, and i prefer to drink loose leaf teas, personal favourites being rose, green tea with lemongrass and coconut with orange - all of these taste best with no milk and no sugar. call it feminine, but i like flowers and flower arrangement, and honestly wish i had the time to do such things.

currently, i'm taking a few months off of skating to heal from an ankle injury i accidently triggered that saw me off the ice last year too. i'm bad at letting myself rest - i need to be on the ice, and it pains me to not be there.

nothing is a joy like being back on the ice and recently i came first at the isu skate canada which i'm proud of as in the past this was one competition i often couldn't get gold in. it was an honour to podium with keiji and nam this year.

most recently, i came second at the japan nationals, and wouldn't you know it, it was my own husband who won against me. which makes shoma the now four time national champion. i was proud to be on the podium with him above me in gold, and the sweet yuma in bronze.

my gorgeous little demonic succubus. to think that when i first met you i hated you, couldn't stand the sight of you nor the way you were so happy and eager to learn all you could. i saw you as a threat from day one and i wasn't wrong- you grew into an amazing figure skater and it took a while for me to stop seeing you as someone to fear for overtaking me and instead focused on the beautiful friendship you blessed me with.
i had no idea that i would fall in love with you, and it was so nerve wracking when i first asked you to be my boyfriend. and i was so thick, obtuse, to not even know that you were in love with me all that time before keiji openly told me and i was stunned. i guess that stereotype, about figure skaters being gay, is pretty true huh? worth it.
when we first found out that you were pregnant with the twins, i was in utter shock. the first thought was panic, because we didn't plan for them, hell we didn't even really talk about kids at all! despite dating for years, we just never really mentioned it. but as you progressed, carrying and protecting our little marshmallows, i grew more and more enamoured by you and how right it felt to have a family with you. you'd think we learned after the girls, how important protection is! but no- except this time it was me who had that baby boy. i barely survived having eiji, it must have been so much worse for you, carrying both our girls. but i don't have any regrets.
i did at first, not because we had children, but because i hadn't manned up and asked you to marry me. and when we finally tied the knot, i finally felt like my life was entirely in place. a beautiful husband who is an amazing support to me and our children, of course our three beautiful children, amazing careers that we are able to keep pushing through despite our domestic life- it all falls perfectly into place.
you are my soulmate shoma, you know this, everyone who knows us knows this. and i couldn't imagine anything more or less. my life is with you, and our family. i love you. thank you for being mine.

FIVE Being Australian, I say a lot of weird , expressions and words that come off as crude. Such as "". "" is the best word, so many meanings, and it makes me chortle when people freak out about how casually I can sling it to some people who know me. Chill the out. is an awesome word to Aussies.
