She was the one every girl wanted to be like by the time she was eighteen. A superstar with just her first single, a sensation throughout China and Taiwan. Her family was proud of her, and she was happy with herself for the most part. She enjoyed what she was doing.

The happiness she felt stayed there for years as she went on, releasing music with the company she’d been signed to in her teens. Until they came to her, telling her that she couldn’t promote any longer. No longer promoting? To everyone it was crazy, a shock, unbelievable. She had so much fame, and her company could let her go just like that?

Their excuse? Her age. The songs she’d sent to the company, they weren’t socially acceptable. She’d be getting wrinkles soon, she should be starting a family, not performing on stage.

Rather than protesting, the woman left quietly. She didn’t want to start any drama with her former company, as that would only regret it in the long run. Instead, she compiled her thoughts and beliefs, and opened her own company in South Korea. She wanted it to be someplace where people can make music they believe in, no matter their age, appearance or beliefs.

She knew very well how controversial this company would be once it started coming out with music, but that’s not what she cared about. As long as the people enjoyed it, that’s what she cared about. As long as people were treated fairly, whether they’re a trainee, staff or an artist, she would be happy. As long as there were people who appreciated the company and the beliefs it held, she would be happy.

She hired staff and accepted trainees the moment she could, and would prepare them and herself for the next step in her career. She’d be coming back much stronger than before.
