Madelaine was born in the mysterious forest near the outskirts of magnolia. there her family of dryads hid themselves in the part of the forest where it always snowed, even during the hot summer.  when her mother went into town for  work  madelaine was taken care of by the other dryads, and they adored the little red head. but they knew their time would be up, they knew her mother went into town to look for someone to take care of her daughter and they all resented her for having a child so close to the time they would disappear. but they learned the child was a sign of rebirth  of their kind. until madelaine was the age of seven, she found herself a human friend who lived in the same area of the forest. he went out to play with madelaine so much his parents followed him to see what kept their son so dstracted. they were surprised to see the young girl and from the plaza in town, madelaine's mother could see the perfect family to take care of her child.
