On February 10, 1993 at 8:52pm, Boris Ivanov and Kang Minjee gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. However, they felt like they couldn't raise her with their low income jobs where they struggled to care for even themselves, and so they had decided while Minjee was still pregnant that they would give their daughter up for adoption. The night of the delivery, the baby was given to Cora and Seamus O'Brien, who had been trying for a child of their own with no luck. After making sure she was healthy and ready for travel, the O'Briens took their new daughter, now named Alexandria Lily O'Brien and went back to the small village of Ballyvaughan, Ireland where they would continue to raise her. Growing up, Alexandria had it all. Well, as much as one could have with two middle class working parents. But she enjoyed what she had, and never really asked for much. Her parents encouraged her to do something creative, and as such pooled the little extra money they did have into dance lessons for her. Ever grateful, Alexandria took full advantage and quickly learned she was actually very good at dancing.

When she was 10, she started singing, joining her school musicals as a way to showcase those skills. Her parents were there for every performance. That is until she turned 16. It was a few months after her 16th birthday that her parents sat her down and told her that her mother was pregnant. She had been so excited, having always wanted a little brother or sister since she was an only child. However, her excitement quickly died when her parents told her the truth...that she was adopted. They had been trying for years for a baby and so they had adopted so they could finally have a child. But now that they were actually going to have one of their own, they didn't need her anymore. So they gave her until the baby was born but then she had to leave.

And so 8 months later, the baby was born prematurely, which her parents seemed to blame her for since they kicked her out the next day. From then until she was about 20, was what one might call a rebellious phase. Drinking, partying, smoking, , she did it all. Then when she became of age, she took the money she had been saving from odd jobs over the years and left for her homeland, South Korea. Being in a country she didn't know with a language she didn't know was daunting for the young woman. And she seemed to be worse off there than she was back home, but she no longer had a home to go back to. So she took odd jobs wherever she could, and one day while working to set up for a fanmeet, she got casted for a company. Not seeing that she had anything else to lose, Alexandria, having adopted the Korean name Seulgi, decided to go for it and become a trainee.

After two years of training, she would debut as the main vocalist and main dancer for the girl group Mania. The group didn't last long however and when her contract was terminated she was quickly picked up by another company and debuted in a new group with the same positions. During the group's 4-year reign, Alex found her birth parents, leading to the reveal of her Korean-Russian heritage. This wasn't all though, she found out that she had two younger brothers, one of which her birth parents kept and the other her parents gave away. Deciding it was best for her to not be involved with any of them, she vowed to never reach out to them again nor allow them to contact her. While in her new group, Alex also got cast in multiple modeling and acting gigs. It was then that she realized she didn't really like being an idol much, and found more joy when she acted. So she left her group and stuck to acting and modeling, doing mostly musicals and OSTs for dramas, whether she was involved in it or not.
