you might say he had it easy in his life, and frankly there wasn't much that he could say to deny that.

his earliest memory of his childhood was sitting on the piano bench right next to his mother, who had always been eager to teach him play simple songs on the piano. that was probably when his interest in music had started to grow its roots in his heart and soul. he grew up in canada, his father an university professor while his mother a piano teacher. they were extremely loving, showering him with love and affection and had been nothing but accepting and encouraging when brian had wanted to take music lessons. 
 

in school he was always the friendly happy-go-lucky asian kid that everyone got along pretty well with. school, or pretty much just life in general had been smooth and enjoyable for him. though the thought of doing music professionally only crossed his mind when he wounded up forming a garage band with his high school friends. he had enjoyed playing music with friends, and loved it even more when he was performing songs that he wrote with people who enjoyed listening to him sing. 

so when he graduated high school, the first thing he did was hop on a plane to seoul, south korea. 

in seoul, he was able to start everything from the bottom. he was on his own, time spent between attending university, busking on streets most of the time and writing songs. he also met new people that he held dearly to his heart, experienced love and heartbreak just like anyone else would. the only difference was that he would write those down in songs, telling his stories behind lyrics and melodies. 

so when he was scouted by indigo entertainment to become one of their trainees, he did not let the opportunity slide. he passed the auditions successfully and became an official trainee, working hard day and night between university and training just so he could have a chance to debut. 

and the chance came finally after few years of training peroid. 

before he even realized it, he was already on stage, performing and doing what he loves with the his found family known as renu. 

and he wasn't planning on stopping anytime soon.
