kim yohan was born into a rather competitive family. one that holds itself to the greatest standards of perfection. in a family like that, yohan was to be no different from the rest. he needed to do something amazing to match up with everyone else, and his father noticed what yohan's calling was from a young age. yohan was always filled with energy, and watched practices that his father would take him to with the biggest, most curious eyes.. that's how yohan started practicing taekwondo, under the guidance of his own father. it came almost naturally for him, as he was so young and could easily learn anything at that age. it was just an innocent hobby until he got a little older and his father truly started pushing him to participate in the sport, in all sorts of competitions. after his first and the rather good results from them, the competitive side of his family started showing up to impact him. the perfectionist side. they demanded more from him, made him really realize how important these things could become. and without realizing it, they were rude and harsh to the boy, making him place his self-worth on such results without ever resting or taking time to congratulate himself for the process. but yohan could say it worked out for him, as he currently is still an active player sweeping out the competition at all sorts of events. due to his dependence on the sport and his achievements in it for his self-confidence, well.. he doubts he'll stop anytime soon. only when he can't anymore. and to prepare for that, yohan decided to take a major in a completely different direction, for something that also seems interesting for a backup job. with yohan's rather wordy character, something with writing and interviewing, researching, just felt right for him, causing him to choose to come to solace university and major in journalism.
