Minhyuk is pretty much your everyday Apollo's kid, excluding his odd ability for photokinesis. He's been a resident at Camp Half-Blood since he was really little, his mother having abandoned him at an orphanage where he was luckily found by a satyr. All he's ever known really are the "walls" of the camp, so he can be a little quirky when it comes to understanding things as simple as technology and public transportation. He lived in the main house of the camp until he was old enough to be moved to the Hermes cabin, fitting in marvelously with the unclaimed children. The Hermes cabin quickly became his home, bonds between children closer than those of child and parent.

He considered himself one of the lucky ones, having been found as a child and brought up as a half-blood rather than trying to fit in to the real world without so much of a clue as to who he was. The only dissonance that existed in him was his lack of a godly parent, loneliness creeping up on him every so often like a sorrow filled song. His friends had their suspicions because Minhyuk had an odd proficiency with a bow and had one of the most beautiful singing voices, but no one voiced it for fear it would give the unclaimed boy hope.

Hope that probably would have been pointless if he hadn't accidentally activated his ability of photokinesis during one of the campfire sessions. It had been a fluke thing, brightening the lanterns because his friend had complained about it being too dark to read. Apollo's claim came not long after and that lonely piece of his life seemed to make a lot more sense. He still hadn't met his father, but the god seemed pretty busy.
