why would a young man in his twenties spend all his time fixing clocks? that was a good question, and something cole rarely had any interest to answer. it all began when he was barely a teen and was taken as a ward by an old man, a horologist himself. cole had been thrown from family to family thanks to the foster care system, though the families blamed cole's odd personality for not fitting in. he had difficulties in concentration, yet when he found something he liked he could spend days doing nothing but. a good example of this was picking locks. after his old man died he inherited the clock fixing business that he had fallen in love with, as he could fiddle with tiny mechanics all day long. what made cole give up his business was a single trip to the library and a sudden interest in greek mythology which, combined with his late mother's lullabies, made everything add up.
