Sooyoung's Childhood is full of luxury and all. She was born in Busan, South Korea along with her twin sister, Saeyoung. The family of Choi had hold a five star hotel & restaurant, A clothing line and a school in Seoul. Sooyoung and Saeyoung are lucky to have a luxurious life with their parents and grandfather who holds the inheritance for the company. However, Sooyoung might be lucky but she is the least favorite among the family as she had some bad records in her school for being Annoying and good for nothing while her twin sister is being a role model and has good grades and records than her. The family loved both of the twins but they had to choose the best and Sooyoung is not the best.
At the age of 16, she suddenly unlocked the procognition ability which she could see what will happen in the future. She could see that something will happened to her sister. That time, she became paranoid and looks at every direction which made her parents think she has mental illness. When she was checked by a doctor, he told them she is a normal kid and when the parents asked Sooyoung why is she like that, she told them that something will happened to her twin sister but she cannot guess when will happened but at first her parents won't believe in her then the time comes when her sister got attacked by the furies and Sooyoung was there, she tried to fight off the furies but she failed as the furies got her twin sister. Sooyoung couldn't do anything but to cry and called her parents that the monsters got Saeyoung. The parents were then called some police investigators to investigate her sister's disappearance. Her parents were not thinking it was Sooyoung is the culprit by how it happened and why she was gone, her parents knew that Sooyoung is trying to be the best but Saeyoung is always on the top. Her parents starts to not believe on her and her predictions until she got tired of being the only one to blame for her sister's disappearance.

She had enough of this and was going to face the monsters that took her sister away, she gets a gun and went to the place where she saw the furies. She found one fury who was going to fly away when she shot the fury and the monster became furious she pounced on her and beat her as Sooyoung was just 17 years old that time before one demigod saved her from the furious fury and took her to the camp half-blood, there she treated her wounds and the demigod explained to her that she was destined to be here as she is the child of Apollo, the greek god of music, healing and arts. He is also a god that predicts everything. That is why She could see what's happening in the future before it could happen. At first she was not convinced if she needs to stay here but when she thought of her family still blaming her for her sister's disappearance, she was convinced that this should be her second home for now until she graduated culinary course.
Sooyoung is now the chef of their 5 star hotel and restaurant and comes to the camp half-blood more often. But still, she had no clues of her twin sister's whereabouts and the inheritance was still on hold because of the incident.

Sooyoung is a jolly girl with unlimited energy. She is sometimes became the happy pill in their cabin as she makes jokes and funny stories to her cabin mates and other demigods. She is demigod who is a chatterbox where she never loses a voice or stories to tell to anyone. She's also loves cooking and eating, she will treat anyone who comes to her when she's hungry or in a mood to cook foods.
