Kyuhyun grew up in an average family, an only child after his older sibling died from an incurable disease. he grew up quiet and angered at the world as if it were everyone elses fault his sibling died.

by the time he was a teenager and in high school he wanted to study hard and be able to make a difference. his dream never became a reality when he didn't have the funds to take the courses he needed and had no way to obtain them, leaving him miserable and feeling like a failure. instead, he was able to find a job that let him help people.

he liked the job, the simple life that he could manage. he had no interest in relationships and always turned people down when they asked him out.

He had been walking home late at night from working late. at first, he thought it was a genuine scenario but then couldn't tell if it were some sort of horrible prank when he was pulled from the side street and into some unknown van, the driver claimed he was lost and stupidly, kyuhyun went over to talk to him only to be jumped and dragged into the van.

he came to the mansion not of his own will, finding out he was to be some slave for people within. it made him wary and panicked, there was no way he was going to be staying if he could help it and was causing trouble since day 1. this was not his ideal life choice.

each escape attempt had landed him in a bit of trouble, though thankfully it hadn't been a master/mistress or a prince/ss that had caught him yet.

personality

genuinely, kyuhyun is a nice person deep down but that doesn't mean he's a welcome mat ready to be walked all over. he speaks his mind no matter who is it, he doesn't care for your status or even his own. he knows consequences and takes them. he's respectful to those who he thinks deserves it in the end. any other form of respect shown is through being taught to be obedient and can be nothing more than an act.

before he came to the mansion he was outgoing and full of mischief and laughter.

Since being owned, he's calmed down a little and isn't as fearful when wandering on his own. He does get a bit nervous around other masters/mistresses and princes/princesses and though he is technically meant to follow orders, he likely won't, he has his reasons and won't hesitate to name drop if someone tries to get their way.
