Serim was born to a prince of a father, and a maid of a mother. Though when rumor
got out that the prince had a child, especially a daughter, out of wedlock,
he left the family in the middle of the night as to not hurt her mother.
Due to being raised without a father, she was lucky to not be sold off as a
slave and instead was able to work as a maid because of her mother.
Her mother wasn't around as much as Serim would have wanted.
Not understanding why, Serim grew apart from her mother, thinking she had
resented her for her father leaving. She lost her mother when she was young,
about 9 or so and had fallen into a depression. She grew up with two nannies,
a "nice" one and a "mean" one. She was unable to know their true names, and
was told to make nicknames for them. She grew close to Candy, the nice one,
because she always snuck her candy and was as sweet as candy. Serim herself
resented the mean one, whom she called Ma'am. One day Ma'am told
Serim that she would take her camping that weekend since it was something she
wanted to do since she was young. Serim got so excited for that whole week,
she couldn't wait. But when that Friday came about, she showered in the morning
and packed her suitcase of my clothes and other items only to find out that Ma'am
was never going to take her. She ended up working in mansions for money
to try and get out of the house and into her own place but she couldn't keep a steady job until she made it here.
