Background: Being born into a small family barely keeping it together when Seungyeon was born was just the start of her struggles in life. Seungyeon parents owned a small restaurant in neighboorhood in Daegu - they didn't come from money and wiht grandma and grandpa living with them meant that Seungyeon and her brother shared a room within their small home. 

Seungyeon and her brother would often take care of each other - especially when she was baby or young - Joonyeo would take care of her when their parents were too busy working and their grandparents too old to take care of her. Seungyeon learned at a very young age how to take care of herself and kind of saw Joonyeo as a parental figure as he was usually the only one home. 

When Seungyeon was about seven when she really started school her teachers often noticed that she would be ahead of the other students doing their work or would be alone reading or studying not socializing much. Her parents were told that Seungyeon could possibly be above her grade level in intelligence, thus meaning she could be a genius child - though her parents didn't believe it at the time as they took it as Seungyeon just getting ahead because all she does is study or read. 

Fast forward to her first year in middle school, her teachers have Seungyeon take the high school entrance exam and she passes it allowing her to skip a few grades and enter high school with her brother. school was a rough one for seungyeon as she was youngest in her class, didn't know anyone, and was often teased by everyone for being a baby or nerd - or being the thug's sister. Her brother was not a good kid and often got into trouble - but never seemed to get into serious trouble as he was best friends with the student council president, who just happened to favor Seungyeon. 

during this time, her father learned the world of underground gambling - he thought he was doing something right to get money for his kid's college funds - when actually he was going into more debt than he could afford which he then found himself borrowing money from the student's council's family - who ironically ran the underground gambling. It tore their family apart, almost caused them to lose the restaurant, and end her father in jail.  When seungyeon caught him the second time sneaking out of the house, he promised he would stop. this wouldn't be the first time Seungyeon would be lied to. 

All of her high school career, Seungyeon spent doing odd jobs for her neighbors or working as a tutor to save up on her own money for college. She would enter every scholarship she could and win every academic contest that she could enter to get money for tuition. The moment she could, Seungyeon was far from her home and on her first-choice college campus ready to start her new chapter. 

Before this though, Seungyeon had to watch her brother be sedated and strapped a to a gurney in front after an incident at school one night - that she doesn't truly understand. all she remembers of that night is watching Joonyeo get wheeled off and cleaning blood off her hands.

Though bad seeds followed her to college as her brother's best friend student council president saddled right beside her one day at lunch - which turned into many lunches until it was one lunch dated than many, and eventually they were dating. things were good at first like any relationship, but when she learned of all the dark and twisted secrets he never told anyone then things weren't the same. She broke things off with him - but he wouldn't let her as he would still show up at random times even after she moved - he always seemed to be able to find her. When she moved schools finally, he seemed to leave her alone until she learned how much debted her parents were into his family.  Currently, the only time she sees the monster is when she has to pay her parents monthly debt statements or being called at three or four in the morning to drag her father home. 

Seungyeon took a break from school to save up money to pay off her parent's overwhelming debt and to maybe help them get back on track - so Seungyeon got a job as a psychologist and counselor at a wellness and child care center. She worked there until she paid off their debt - but of course, her parents never listen or learned and just gain up more debt - so Seungyeon cut off ties with her parents and helps support her brother and pays for the home her grandparents are in. 

Seungyeon went back to school when she was twenty-nine to get her ph.D in psychology as she wants to run her own clinic and children's center. Currently, she lives in belle Epoque, is going to school, and teaches a few of entr- level psychology courses while working on her research and thesis.
