About
There’s nothing rebellious about being born in a Rebel family, Jaehyun even laughs at the term. His family wasn’t always part of the Rebels. His parents were Royals working in Liesel. They knew how to alter crops, how to make them grow faster or how to drug people with the cereals without anyone knowing. They were useful to the organisations, but one day they decided business would be better on the other side.
Jaehyun would have kept no memories of the moment they changed alliance if it wasn’t for the progressive loss of his sight from that moment on.
His mind always clawed at the few memories he had from that age when his sight was a given. When he had no idea what the darkness was. When he didn’t depend on daily pills to see the next day.
Jaehyun was born with a condition that deter his eyesight but he never felt it; because the doctors of Liesel treated him. They made it possible for him to take less and less pills. They promised he’d recover after a few more years of treatment. Jaehyun couldn’t even remember this promise if it weren’t for the total honesty of his parents, only regretting the moment they left the organisation for jeopardizing their son’s health. Liesel and Warhol scientists were pathological liars, they toyed with people for a living, they even toyed with one another; but the doctors caring for Jaehyun had made it their crusade to cure his sight. They didn’t lie, and Jaehyun would no longer depend on pills to see if only his parents had stayed a little longer.
The guilt challenged his parents to work for medical facilities for the rebels, a secret clinic and a network of physicians and surgeon to never bargain on someone’s life or health to join the resistance.
Jaehyun doesn’t hold a grudge against the parents who made the hasty decision to cut all ties with the very people who for once did something good. However, from the moment he knew of the reason why he has to take a pill, every 24 hours, every evening to ensure he’d be able to see five to seven hours later for 10 to twelve hours, Jaehyun also realized rebels were no better than the organizations. Both endanger their own to be in power. Being born among rebels, Jaehyun became curious about the other side of the fight. He figured he wouldn’t have to get pills smuggled to him anymore if he was on the other side. Sure, it meant being at the mercy of the crazy scientists while being blind; but the idea had bloomed a dangerous flower, studded with poisonous thorns. He didn’t mind getting hurt; he decided to get caught as a patient, a spy for the rebels and for the organization, but really, looking for the good on the other side, the same good he felt back home.
He attempted an attack on the Liesel, without warning his family, nor putting too much might into it.The point was to be captured and taken in. A few hours later, his sight was gone and he became fully dependant on the scientists for it. It was the bethe was willing to make to find people he’d trust on the other side, and maybe pick his side after experiencing both sides.

Personality
Jaehyun doesn’t like to be told what to do. He thinks for himself and has always been free spirited. Rebels helped him thrive, his art of spying complete and perfected. His curiosity however, took him to the other side, the side that almost saved him once.
He doesn’t believe and needs to experience for himself to really know, and that usually goes through touch and scent.
He is used to not seeing and doesn’t consider it a downside. His other senses are sharpened and he knows people will behave differently when in his presence. He may act blind if it serves his goals. But just the same, he might skip his treatment and actas if he could see to fool people.
Lies are one of his favorite entertainment. He hates it when people see right through him and may behave out of the ordinary only to prove them wrong.
He doesn’t believe and needs to experience for himself to really know, and that usually goes through touch and scent.

B L I N D S I D E D || (liesel/warhol scientist, from strangers to friends or more) - You met Jaehyun and figured him out quick: his belonging to the rebels, his file as a child, treated by Liesel, his walking into a trap, the mistake his parents made. You could allow him to see you in the hours the meds are fully effective but decide not to. He comes to trust you, relying on you for daily walks, early in the day or late at night. He asks of you to make him taste food, or to share your music. He recognizes your perfume and could find you in a crowded room just following your perfume.
E Y E F O R E Y E || (Warhol/Liesel scientist - unhealthy relationship(s).) - Surrendering himself to the organizations meant to give up on his control over his sight. And it usually works. Except sometimes, Jaehyun needs to see. It can be whimsical, a strong longing or curiosity driving him to do anything if he can see the blue sky for a few hours. He refused to comply to your experiences before and gets back to you, allowing you to proceed if he gets a few hours of sight in return. You get to decide if you give him long enough sight, black and white, distorted, hallucinations or no sight at all. But be assured he is never a weakling and is very able to make a fool of you even if blind.

You decide when you want to play romeo and juliet and when he’s just too much of a rebel for you. You just try to resist him, see how that works for you. He will lie about his identity, his condition, he will lie about everything and it’s up to you to believe or not, excuse or not. He will always try to lure you back with letters, promises, surprises.
