negin lived in another realm with other elves who lived their lives in isolation since the war between humans and other supernatural creatures. they've been in hiding ever since and everyone believed the humans had won since the many messengers they sent to bring back news never came back. the elves continued on with their lives mourning the other creatures they thought perished in the war until they became history for the future generations. negin grew up fairly normal, she was the daughter of a shoemaker and a seamstress, her family were middle class at best in her realm but she was quite tall for her age. the elders of their realm thought of negin as a gift, they thought something otherworldly had given them a sign, but what for? negin had always told her parents about the fairies she saw on her way to school but they thought it was her imagination and thought nothing about it. but to negin, it was all real, the fairies would tell her all sorts of things and even fed her food, which made her grow so tall in the first place. at the age of 14 she was over five feet and still growing, and she still believed in the fairies. She made sure to leave the fairy nonesense to herself since she didn't want anyone to think she as weird. one night, the fairies woke her up in the middle of the night on a full moon and brought the sleepy child out to the forest and transported the girl to the human world to live with a message to come back to her people with news.
