her parents owned a high end makeup line since before sorn was born and when they had a beautiful daughter they thought that naturally she would take over the company, however a young and fiesty girl didn't just want to take over the company straight out of school but only told her parents that she would only be interested in it if they let hre explore her intrests first before forcing her to take over the company. 
that being said, she moved out of country at a young age and went to beauty school in south korea. she graduated and became a makeup artist and hair stylist quickly, traveling all over asia working on the hair and makeup on anyone and she quickly gained popularity through her parents money, and good skills. 
after a few years of doing her work she had decided that it was time to go to school to learn business management since it was something she didn't want to learn from her parents, but earn it just like anyone else in the world would have to do. 
sorn was signed up to married at first sight by her parents after she had disagreed to go back home and get married to a young suitor that they had lined up for her, so they had hoped that signing her up for the show would not only promote their business more but also find her a good husband.
