chapter i : defiance

from the early years of her life, chaeyoung hasn't knon what her purpose is. her parents were never present, mansion filled with the bustling of servants and maids who were there simply for the pay. desperate for their attention, she dropped out of school as soon as she turned eighteen, moved out to crash at a friend's house and applied for a job as an office clerk at an advertising company in spite of her paretns who had wanted her to take over the bfamily business. regrets were soon felt when when expenses were pulled, contact immediately cut as soon as they found out their daughter had disgraced them. chaeyoung was disowned and a little piece of her died along with  the act.

chapter ii : devil in disguise

moving to korea after she a year of saving up, she settled in a small apartment, job transferred to the branch here. a diligent worker, she's kept in the company as a valued member but due to her slightly cold personality and turbulent emotions, chaeyoung has not made more than acquantances. everything changed when a man named hansol entered through the doors with the title of chief marketing officer. with a handsome face and charming words, she felt something akin to what felt like love. she spent a long 2 years with him full of torment, the number of sleepless nights and scars increasing with each day until the words 'let's break up' were spoken and chaeyoung felt another piece of her soul leave with him to america.  

chapter iii : desolate

all she remembered was waking up to white. everyone, everywhere was white, white, white. her chands were chained to the bed, her body donned in a hospital gown. her head felt like it was being split open and she wanted nothing more than to just disappear. ah, right. someone had found her before she stopped breathing. what a shame.  

chapter iv : deception

a break. that's what they told her, that she needed a break. her boss had signed off on it himself, forcing it upon her to have a long month leave. and so she went, the words of her co-worker about a resort at the edge of the city clinging to her mind. a place where she could be who she isn't and wouldn't have to worry about it. what a wonderful idea.
