it wasn't long after sunwoo's life started that it became almost completely void of women. at the age of three, his parents divorced and he was to live with his father, grandmother, and older brother. sunwoo attended all boys schools for his entire life and the only female figure he had in his life was his grandmother until she passed away when he was thirteen.

sunwoo's father so desperately wanted sunwoo to become a business major and enter one of the SKY universities. however, sunwoo crushed his father's dreams of business as he chose the stem route his first year of high school. his father then tried to compromise and tell sunwoo that he should at least enter a SKY university. sunwoo then crushed his dreams again by committing to haneul university after all of his college admissions came out.

as a child, sunwoo was rambunctious and energetic, even with all of the scoldings he received from his late grandmother. after she passed, sunwoo's hyperactive tendencies began to mellow out and before anyone knew it, his booming presence turned into tranquility. his former study group mates regarded him as a quiet guy who got his work done properly, and his teachers called him a delight to have in class as he wasn't as rowdy as the other boys.

however, there is a saying that goes along the words of 'don't judge a book by its cover.' sunwoo, in actuality, just likes to be by himself a lot. there's no definite reason, but he finds more solace playing games in his room than being out and about with others. to those close to him, sunwoo's childhood personality comes out.

however, one important thing to note about sunwoo is that he's extremely awkward and shy around girls. it's not that he hates them, but rather he's never interacted with them before other than simple greetings.
