~ Background ~

Soojin was born and raised in Tiramisu as an only child and helped her family run the flower shop. During her childhood, she found it difficult to befriend others and spent her time honing her green thumb instead. Unfortunately when Tiramisu’s population dwindled, Soojin and her parents moved out of town, leaving her grandmother to run the store alone.

Although she was surrounded with completely new faces, Soojin’s uptight and offstandish disposition once again limited her comfort zone to the garden. She was the kid who preferred to sit alone at the lunch table, the one who was stuck to the rules and held others responsible for their actions. As much as she tried being the “good kid,” it always seemed to earn her backlash, so she instead distanced herself.

Now that Tiramisu has miraculously resurrected, Soojin’s parents insisted she return to her home town and assist her grandmother at the flower shop. With her grandmother’s old bones becoming less suitable for gardening work, the family business was passed onto Soojin. With the town becoming more progressive to attract newcomers, the Garden of Eden should also follow suit. And though Soojin was initially reluctant, her family appealed to her sense of filial piety and explained that this would be her chance to come out of her shell.

 

~ Personality ~

Often labeled as a "cranky" koala, Soojin rarely ever smiles. Her neutral demeanor generally gives an aloof and reserved vibe, making it difficult to approach her or maintain a decent conversation. With her lack of sociability, she is also outdated and finds difficulty relating to others.

As a perfectionist, Soojin is diligent in her work and always holds others accountable. She can be pretty uptight as a stickler for the rules and is easily annoyed by impracticality. Her independence also makes it a challenge to rely on others. If she finds someone to be incompetent with a task, she will take it upon herself to complete it, as she follows the credo, “If you want something done right, do it yourself.”

Underneath her hard exterior, Soojin is actually quite caring, much like a tsundere. She has a strong sense of justice and will always fight for the weak and the wronged. She is easily flustered in situations she is unfamiliar with (such as intimacy) and shows her kindness in her own indirect way.
