as the son of two renowned fashion designers, taehyung naturally fell into a career as a child model and actor. by age twelve he had already starred in several commercials and even walked the runway of his mother’s fashion show. for someone who grew up in the spotlight, taehyung yearned to be the one behind the camera. He hated being the center of attention, hated the feeling of knowing that people where watching his every movement.

when taehyung was a freshman in high school, he attracted the attention of a photographer named jiseok who had been assigned to shoot his mother’s next collection. jiseok found it amusing how fascinated with the camera taehyung seemed. despite standing off to the side quietly as the photoshoot continued, he could see the yearning in the boy’s eyes. it was as if he wanted nothing more than to take a camera in his hand and do something that actually mattered to him for once. that christmas, jiseok gifted taehyung a 35mm film camera with a note that read ‘dream big, kid.’

it was at that moment that taehyung knew he was in the wrong place. he poured all of his energy into his portfolio and college applications and was eventually accepted into an accredited film school. it was there that he learned to write, produce, direct, and edit his own short films. he seems to have inherited his parent’s artistic sense because his work quickly attracted the attention of various production companies. the fact that his parents had several connections to the entertainment industry also helped him kick-start his career.

taehyung now works as a commercial and music video director. he is a frequent collaborator with str entertainment and has created some of the company’s most well known music videos. he’s usually busy meeting with clients or overseeing various projects but he enjoys shopping in the city center, going to the movies, and grabbing food with friends in his free time.

for a man of few words, taehyung can have the most commanding presence on any film set. he’s very passionate about his work. otherwise, he's usually a mellow and laidback person.
