heesu fell in love at the age of 11.

it was a cloudy, rainy day and the leaves swirled in the wind that blew behind the raindrop covered window. it was then that his father put on a record by alice coltrane. they have been trying to get his old record player to work for days on end, and at the moment when both of them thought there was nothing left to do... it began playing again, unexpectedly, almost miraculously.

 

 

 

since then, heesu has been trying to become like one of his idols: chet baker, john coltrane, and, most importantly, bill evans.

he's been attending music school, even gotten a degree in music, but what was most important - he was completely, utterly in love with creating and playing with the sounds of his beloved piano. he has never really been hard-working enough, nor did he have the right mindset to pursue a conventional career as an office worker - he never strived for any kind of status or reputation, nor did he care too much about them. it has always seemed to him, as if those were just silly, meaningless things that were not even worth pursuing... unlike his dream to become a pianist.
