junhee, was one of the princes from the underwater kingdom of atlantis. ever since young, he had always been a little bit more adventurous and curious than other merfolk. whenever there was an opportunity to go look at the human world, junhee was consistently at the forefront of the group. the sight was.. strange to him, but yet, there was an allure to it, an appeal. despite repeated warnings for him not to swim too close to the shoreline, his growing curiosity got the better of him, and it quickly became a routine for him to hover in the shallows, observing how the humans behaved on land. (he might have also been the reason for the spike in shark sightings those few months)

we all know how the story ends when icarus flew too close to the sun, and the same happened to junhee. one day, he was doing what he does every day when he got caught in a storm, which tossed him onto the beach. having the constitution of a water being, the prolonged period of time he spent aground meant that he quickly passed out.

when he next awoke, he was no longer on the beach, but inside a strange room. the walls were grey, solid concrete and the metal bed he was lying on was cold against his skin.
