tattoos – snake that curls around his left arm from wrist to shoulder, surrounded by a bed of roses (his mother's favorite flower). a running tally of how many he's killed on his hip (current count: 10). the gang's name in japanese on his neck in red. japanese devil mask (as line art) on his right shoulder blade, and on either side, vertically, it says "agma" and "akuma." behind his left ear is his name in english, scratchy lettering (here).
important tattoo – black dragon curled around the white spaces between the red kanji. signifies his place in seonghwa's circle of trust. along its curve, it says "black dragon."
others – where his eyebrow piercing is, there's a slit in his hair in the shape of an X (it's actually a scar). along the snake tattoo, there are some more scars. on his bare arm, there's a long scar vertically along his arm (a particular partner didn't like his services). on his inner thigh, there's a burn scar of "☬" given to him by his father.

born to power, bred to sin. choi san was inagawa-kai's pride and joy. but no one was prouder than his father.
as soon as he could stand, his father started to train him to be the gang's secret weapon. knives first. by the age of five, san could filet you better than his old man could. guns were next, and they took a little longer; by the age of ten, san couldn't miss a shot. by age sixteen, he was even better, and had gotten even more ruthless than before. but that's when things started to sour.
his mother was killed in a drive-by. a warning to his father, and an attempt to end the bloodline. they should have killed san, but inagawa's little rose had been kept a secret for that very reason. his father spiraled, and had been spiraling for the five years from then up until his passing.
his mom had been in charge of the streets, selling herself as a front to make sure the drug trade went well. and, well, with her gone, san's father had an idea. san could take over that, now couldn't he? his father branded him with a hot iron in the very spot his mother had the same branding. he told san what to do, how to do it, what not to do, who to look for. they dyed his hair to the red that it still is now, tattooed him, pierced him. made him look like an adult.
and then, for the next year, his father trained him in the most vile way. needless to say, the rose grew its thorns.
for the next four years, that was his job: the gang's deadliest . customers not paying, dealers being difficult, san had no problem offing them right in their lap. their blood looked nicer on him, anyway. and, don't worry, he always made sure to get his before they fully passed away.
twenty-one, san was getting tired of it. he didn't necessarily want the gang, nor was he tired of the , but he was tired of his father.
no one needs to know how, or why, or who, but his father's weapon fatally back-fired, and now san finds himself the most powerful member of inagawa-kai.
