Wendy was always a curious child with the attention span of a goldfish when it comes to bright colors or exciting things. Maybe that's why she got lost and was later dropped off at an orphanage. She was only five years old at the time and you would think she would know her way back home or her parents' phone number. Unfortunately, they were on a trip at the time and the location of her house - she couldn't remember anything specific or the address. Wendy did remember a phone number but it didn't work and just like that she was an orphan or better yet - an abandoned child. It wasn't hard to realize that both were a possibility but frankly, she doesn't care, not anymore anyways.

Growing up in an orphanage wasn't bad, the food was decent and they were treated well enough. The bullying she could deal without though - word traveled fast about her being abandoned and being a new kid made things worse. Thankfully, kids lose interest after a while but it did quite the number on her mentally, and now she has abandonment issues which lead to their own set of problems. Anyways, it was a crowded place and sure, sometimes things were a bit tough but it wasn't terrible and if anything, she became stronger with a sharp tongue.

After four years, Wendy was adopted by a nice couple that owned a flower shop. She took their last name but kept her first name, Seungwan, one of the few words she could spell when she was found. They were amazing parents and her only parents for that matter. Wendy was a brilliant child with a green thumb that flourished under their care. She was at the top of her school academically and a competitive swimmer with a few gold medals under her belt. It became her ticket to a prestigious university, where she studied chemistry and joined their varsity swim team. It was challenging and exciting in all the right ways. She joined the botany club as a freshman and later, developed research on herbal medicine because her knowledge on all sorts of plants was finally useful.

By junior year, her passion for chemistry was well known around their university because of the occasional small fires she would cause (accidentally of course). It was how Wendy discovered her pyromania and launched her study into explosives and weaponry. It didn't take long before she realized that it was a dangerous path - her research into weapons became more popular than her study on herbal medicine. The interest from certain companies about her research and the pressure she was under for her future career was too much. After a particular accident that left her with a few burns on her hands and a sudden interest in dangerous (poisonous) plants, her decision was made. Wendy quickly claimed that she hit a wall and that her parents didn't like her research in explosives, so instead she stuck with botany and herbal medicine. From then on, she started to put the name her family called her, Wendy, on her research and completely abandoned her previous work.

It was during an internship at her current workplace that she received the news - her parents had died in a car accident. And once again, Wendy was an orphan. The flower shop was left to her and just like that her future was set in stone. After speeding through her senior year, Wendy accepted the job at the research center as a medical-only researcher and properly took ownership of the shop. On the weekends, she opens the shop and looks after the plants in honor of her parents. It is only then that she indulges in her more dangerous hobby of poisonous plants and makes herbal medicine for the locals.

By nature, Wendy is a kind and friendly person that easily gets along with people and lends a hand to even a stranger. Even in an awkward or difficult situation, she would smile as would anyone in customer service and quickly find a way out. Conflict is not her cup of tea because it's complicated and her life is busy enough as it is. Now that ideology doesn't lend itself well to her pyromania but she keeps it under control by lending a hand occasionally to the weapons department. However, due to her past research, Wendy is cautious and only offers a suggestion or an idea - nothing more. She is intelligent and rational but quite forgetful at times, so don't be surprised if she forgets your name or face.

The past couple of years have been rough and they left her jaded about the world and its people. The accident that killed her parents occured after Wendy had dropped her weapons research for her parents in the first place - how coincidental can things get? It's a possibility but she can only keep moving forward and not dwell on the past. Regardless, Wendy is still a loyal citizen of the Silla house because she supports their medical research and she isn't naive enough to believe weapons can't exist in the world. However, that doesn't mean she'll help them along either and instead, she stays in her own corner of medical research. Wendy does have abandonment issues and avoids feeling lonely by keeping herself busy at all times. She doesn't like to talk about her feelings or trust easily but once she does, loyalty and faith are given completely. Despite her tiny frame, she has a sharp tongue and is fairly dangerous with her bizarre skill set, so she can be quite vengeful when provoked.
