Jinyoung is a very calm and outwardly straightforward person, not unlike his mother. He is normally relaxed and passive in everyday situations, and even particularly dangerous scenarios. In combat, he does not appear nervous or unsure of himself or those around him, but he doesn't underestimate any of his opponents by a long shot. Jinyoung was not only calm, but also appeared emotionless at times, as he wasn't surprised by the things he saw at Camp Half Blood, and only marvelled at the imagination and efficiency of the sights he saw in the establishment.

Much like Athena, Jinyoung is highly intelligent, possessing a very keen, analytical mind. He is also extremely wise, and perceptive - he can see through many attempts at manipulation and knows if and when he is a pawn in somebody else's game. His relationship with other demigods is very much influenced by his mother's relationship with other Gods: he doesn't have a very great fondness for children of Aphrodite or Ares, recognizing them to be typically overconfident, arrogant or obnoxious, and selectively vain or bloodthirsty - though he does recognize Ares' demigods' skills in battle, and Aphrodite's capacity for kindness, in spite of both parties' narcissism. He also got on quite well with the Hunters of Artemis, because of the two Goddesses sisterly relationship. He wasn't afraid of giving advice to children of Zeus, or challenging sons of Poseidon, and he was perfectly capable of empathising with the children of Hades, being one of the few people not to treat them with discrimination or fear.

However, like anyone else, Jinyoung had a very dark side. He was capable of being cold, callous and extremely ruthless when pushed. He was not incapable of violence, shown when he punched a child of Ares in the face for mentioning his lack of a father, showing a difficulty with processing loss. He also took a virtually sadistic pleasure in the humiliation of other people who had teased or bullied him. When pushed to the point of rage or incredulity, he would become extremely frightening to most of the people around him. Rather than a red hot anger, though, his would simmer and take a chilling turn. It was a type of anger that didn't easily burn out.

 

Definitely a reader, enjoys the peace and quiet of early mornings (before anyone else rises), coffee darker than the Hades cabin aesthetic, also really enjoys grapefruit as his breakfast for it's more bitter flavor, drawing out blueprints and battle strategies, mocking the ares kids

ares and aphrodite kids, those who don't think things through, rash decisions, unplanned decisions, overly sweet things, books being destroyed, any disturbance to his peace and quiet, being talked to before he's received his breakfast of coffee and grapefruit

building blueprints and little model buildings out of whatever materials he can get his hands on, sword fighting with the rash ares kids, ignoring any and all annoyances, just being the best athena kid he can be

Spiders (absolutely despises spiders, and perhaps this is because of the myth of Arachne, getting close enough to someone and losing them like he did his father, failing at really anything.

He easily walks around stuck in his thoughts and won't notice people unless they tap him on the shoulder, clicks the top of his pens, never uses pencils, writes on his hands if he forgets paper.

Simply speaking, his hubris is his flaw, and paired with his inability to allow himself to develop bonds other than acquaintances, it becomes fatal. Jinyoung has yet to experience the taste of failure, too many lucky run ins with monsters. He believes he is unstoppable, and that he doesn't need help.

Park Jinyoung is the only son of the accomplished homicide police officer Park Yunho, and Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom. Yunho and Athena met when Athena posed as a victim of aggravated assault, which Park was investigating. During interviews, the two of them bonded and Athena was intrigued by his intelligence and pragmatic imagination. After the investigation was finished, resulting in a climactic promotion for Park, Athena left him with a son, Jinyoung.

Jinyoung was brought up by his father, but quickly became independent, as his father was constantly away from home on a myriad of violent and tragic cases. He first learned of his incredible powers when, at the age of ten, he managed to hack into his father's computer and take control of the Mars Space Probe and, by hacking into news websites and the search histories of the suspects of certain crimes, inadvertently placed thirty most-wanted murderers and smugglers in prison.

However, when he was fourteen years old, there was a knock at the door and an attractive, very tall woman in old rags stood at the porch, handing him a rectangular package, claiming it was 'to save him from the bad people'. The woman was revealed to be Athena in disguise. Curious, Jinyoung opened the package when the woman left, and it was revealed to be a Greek sword - Greek, but strangely similar to a European rapier. He then discovered, from an old colleague of his father, that Park Yunho had been shot dead during a firefight with a mob boss. Shocked, Jinyoung ran away from home, never to return.

Incapable of finding a home for himself, Jinyoung led a very nomadic lifestyle, travelling from city to city, and on his sixteenth birthday he met his first monster - he was attacked by a Hellhound, which he somehow killed with little effort by precisely striking a tiny nerve in its neck, his knack for strategy helping him through. He was later relentlessly pursued by a number of monsters, leading him in the direction of what he later learned to be Camp Half-Blood as per instructions that accompanied the rapier that somehow magically shrank into a brooch he kept pinned to his chest.

During his first night within the Hermes cabin, he experienced frightening nightmares about his father's death during that gunfight, but with terrifying alterations like the mob boss spitting fire and having the legs and pincers of a spider. He was also telepathically contacted by Athena, who told him that his life was about to take a turn for the worst, which finally woke him up. It was then that the claim of Athena was placed upon him.

Jinyoung spent a good chunk of his young adulthood amongst the other campers, insisting he would return to living in the outside world, but he had grown fond of the younger generation that was filling the beds seemingly overnight. he helped work on promoting new structures throughout the camp, developing the architectural blueprints for the Hephaestus kids to use to actually construct the buildings.

On top of being an architect for the camp, he helps out with battle strategies and quest advice. etc more to be added, i'm running out of ideas
