Youngho grew up in a reasonable family. They weren’t struggling and trapped in poverty but neither were they spoiled by the riches aerok had to offer. They grew up on a farm as his parents had been scientists, his mother a zoologist paeticurlarly studying the Siberian musk deers while his father was a geologist studying the terrains of the south. Youngho adopted their love for nature but found his calling in botany and studying plants. It fascinated him how they could go from a tiny little seed to a sunflower that stood taller than he did. With his parents’ support, he managed to accelerate his studies, finishing his undergrad at 20, his masters at 22 and then his doctorate at 25. Now, he’s doing a post-doc with the university, living off of the sponsors for his studies as well as florist specific to peculiar requests that he grows in his greenhouse. He won’t have roses or tulips in his garden, but if you’d like pitcher plants he’s got plenty!

Though he’s happy now, with his one and a half year old son, it took him a while to reach that stage of acceptance. Jeongsuk wasn’t born out of a long and loving relationship, he was born out of a drunken one night stand but youngho felt he had to take responsibility and him and his mother decided to follow through with the pregnancy, promising to do what they could do best for jeongsuk. yet, the stress of post-natal depression and the resentment she had unconsciously built against youngho left her feeling suffocated. At least that’s what it says in the letter she left before disappearing into the night of jeongsuk’s two month celebration. Youngho felt lost but he didn’t have time to mourn and he was far too busy tending to jeongsuk anyway.

With the help of friends and his parents, he managed to stand on his two feet. He’s doing his best with what he has and as long as his son was okay, he was okay too.
