Biography
There isn't a lot about Jisoo's life that particularly stands out. He was an only child, living in a modest house for the first seven years of his life. After that his parents finally realized their relationship was crumbling and with Jisoo being 'old enough' they agreed on a dissolution of marriage. It was a peaceful divorce and Jisoo had visitation with his father every weekend and every other holiday; with optional summers if he chose to. It was an adjustment more than a mending and Jisoo handled it very well with no real traumatic memories from that time in life.
Of course, as all people do, his parents moved on from their first marriage and eventually his father remarried to sweet and hard working woman that treated Jisoo very much like her own son. They opened a restaurant together when Jisoo was nearing eleven and he would go there often for the free food and to help out with taking care of his younger step-siblings.
His mother too found love again; with a university professor when she went back to get her Master's in Art Therapy. He was a well to-do gentlemen who treated her like a Princess and respected Jisoo; earning his respect in return. Jisoo cared for his step-father very much and the free tuition was not something he took for granted. With his mother and step-father's support he went to school for creative writing.
He started publishing his work very early on. Entering every contest his school held throughout his early schooling years. He had poems published in many young author books, and even submitted short stories for multiple magazines. He published his first novel at the age of fifteen though it was largely ignored and sold poorly. He was proud of himself for the accomplishment though and continued to build upon his own talents and skill as a writer. Continuing to publish books even throughout his university years.
It wasn't until he graduated that his books started to gain attention, and it was only within the last year and a half that he could really claim any kind of success as an author. He now has several awards and is highly praised for his powerful characters and willingness to tackle sensitive and powerful topics.
Under the pen name Joshua H he writes romance novels focusing on dynamic and meaningful characters and delving into the hardships of being a young gay teen, or the very real struggle with body dysmorphia that transgender individuals face. His stories are impactful and written in a way that refuses to gloss over the painful battle with mental illness and societal pressure.
He loves his writing and he loves that he has helped to make a difference in people's lives. However, despite being a romance writer, Jisoo actually has no experience with romance at all. He's never dated, despite having a few crushes here or there. He's always had his head lost in his imagination or the latest story that he was writing.
