jaemin grew up under the spotlight. as a popular child model, he was used to seeing his face grace the pages of numerous fashion magazines and commercials. his childhood modeling career paved the way for his first foray into acting as a teenager. he’s come a long way from playing supporting roles in web dramas, now one of the hottest rising actors to look out for in the industry.

 

two years ago, jaemin announced that he would be taking a break from his acting career to focus on his studies, with the promise of returning a better actor. funny because that’s the last thing he did. somehow, he managed to bull his way through the first year doing just the bare minimum. unfortunately, for such a rigorous program, his lack of dedication just wasn’t going to cut it.

 

after a year and a half studying at one of the world’s most renowned acting programs in kroy wen, jaemin flunked out for his low marks. in his defense, he was too busy enjoying his youth. if he was going to attend college, he was most certainly going to take advantage of its thriving party scene. plus, it was a good break away from flashing lights and his manager breathing down his neck most of the time.

 

in retrospect, jaemin probably could’ve bought his way out, or at least tried a little harder, but that wouldn’t have sat right with him. it was time for him to return to aerok anyway.
