BACKGROUND
[ACT I] Too Fast, Too Soon
Jiyong's upbringing left a lot to be desired. The safe sanctuary of his home was marred by constant barrages of domestic abuse, substance use, and untreated mental illness. With little security at home, Jiyong took to the streets because at least there, even if just as unsafe, he had more control over what he did, where, and with who. And so, at the age of 11, Jiyong began his life of independence, recklessnes, and longing. He would attend school during the day and in the evenings he would stay out as long as possible until late evenings became late nights and late nights became simply not coming home some days. And his parents? Always too drunk or high or hurt to notice or even care about the whereabouts of their son. Four years of this cycle and Jiyong had his first taste of alcohol, his first hit of drugs, and his first fight that left him badly bruised and barely able to move. Never before had Jiyong felt so in control of his own destiny. He took to the streets like a fish to water. What the streets couldn't fix, however, was his longing for a home, and a family, or anyone, really, that cared about him.
[ACT II] The Mansion
It wasn't until age 15 that Jiyong stumbled upon the mansion in one of his many exploration ventures. Instantly, Jiyong was fascinated by mansion and its wondrous residents. Moreover, the place seemed to offer what Jiyong longed for in more ways than one. The boyfriends, he found, functioned like their own little family, considering each other friends, family members, and even in some cases, lovers. Being a boyfriend as well, offered up the promise of finding someone that would cherish and love and care. The thought of having a place to call home, friends to call family, and someone to love and be loved back was exhilarating to the Jiyong. The mansion became his home, the safe sanctuary he'd always long for. The place, of course, never tore him completely away from the streets, but it certainly provided some stability. With Jiyong spending so much time at the mansion, it wasn't long before Jiyong was offered up what he imagined to be the opportunity of a lifetime: to become one of them, one of the boyfriends. Jiyong didn't hesitate. Why would he? He could continue his life in the streets, have an adopted family, and maybe one day find someone of his own. Over the course of three years, Jiyong transitioned from human to boyfriend, given powers, and all of the qualities that the others had, save for one. After all, there were few cases of humans becoming boyfriends and the methods and know-how were still lacking. Regardless, on Jiyong's eighteenth birthday, he was finally considered fully transitioned. He began his life as an official part of the mansion, reveling in everything he'd just gained and waiting to be taken home.
[ACT III] Reality
Jiyong waited patiently his first year in the mansion. He grew bonds and familiarity with those around him and met every customer with an air of hope. A year. Two years. Three years. Jiyong saw boyfriends and customers come and go. Sure, there was happiness in some of the unions, but Jiyong's mind fixated on the unhappiness of it all. Boyfriends returned for the simplest of things after the customer swore up and down that they would love them for eternity. Additionally, no one ever really showed any interest in the firebender. And so after three years as a boyfriend, with the failed relationships in his mind and the belief that something was inherently wrong with him, Jiyong decided that perhaps love wasn't for him. Perhaps his place was back with the people he'd met during his time of alcohol, drugs, and . Perhaps that was the closest he would ever get to love. Jiyong threw away his hopes and his desires and returned instead to the creature of the night he had once been. He still loved and enjoyed the community of the mansion, but now he would sneak away from it to feel something more, anything. The drugs, the alcohol, the , the rebellion -- it all began again. Sure, deep down the dragon still craved love, but he would be damned if he ever admitted it to someone who wasn't worthy. He became a persona, one that made it easy to be unloveable and one that was arrogant, chaotic, and attention-seeking out of sheer fear of ending up hurt just like every other boyfriend he's seen returned.
[ACT IV] Present Day
This was how Jiyong remained. Arrogant, afraid, and lonesome, until... well--- until something he couldn't quite remember. The dragon had rebooted. He wasn't quite sure why. His memories seemed mostly intact, after all. And his personality? Well-- that was yet to be seen. It was hard to tell just how different he was. Whatever memories he had chosen to remove were now neatly tucked away in Jiyong's desk on what could have only been described as a hard drive. It seemed that the dragon wasn't ready to fully part with them... just in case? But in case of what? Whatever the case was, Jiyong was now rebooted and, he supposed he didn't have a choice, ready to face the world once more.
[ACT V] Love & Romance?
Jiyong's reboot didn't exactly go as planned. His mind forgot that which had hurt him, but his essence still carried the burden of loss. Even as his personality grew and-- In the blink of an eye it was over once more. The little dragon's biggest fear had come true.

PERSONALITY
Jiyong used to be the outgoing, almost arrogantly so, boyfriend of the bunch. He loved to make noise and sound just to be seen and be the center of attention. He feeds off of it and the chaos he produces because, after all, chaos is his best friend. Ironically, it's his love of chaos that makes him so magnificent at controlling the fire that erupts from his body. In line with his personality, he loved to sneak out of the mansion at night, frequenting seedy clubs and bars all for the express purpose of sleeping with men. He's a addict, but would deny it if anyone ever even suggested it. He would claim instead that he loves giving his body to others and gets off being pummeled into submission, whether ually, physically, mentally, or a combination of any of those three. While that excuse is certainly not wholly untrue, the man simply can't control his needs and desires. He is fiery, after all. While in essence Jiyong remains the same, his return to the mansion has left the once-bright fire of the little dragon dim and weak. His fiery nature turned quiet, waiting below the surface where it will hopefully be allowed to erupt once more one day.
