Nam Joo-hyuk was born on February 22, 1994 in Busan, South Korea. 188cm and 70kg if this is necessary for you. blood type a and the only child.

During his studies in Gyeongnam Middle School, joohyuk dreamed of becoming a professional basketball player, hence he played on the basketball team for three years, however after sustaining an injury and later undergoing an operation, his basketball days soon came to an end.

After moving to Seoul, he won the contest Top Model which was sponsored by K-Plus. Soon after Nam signed an exclusive contract under the modelling agency.

debuted in 2013 as a model for the songzio homme 2014 s/s collection. later on, he appeared in a few music videos not excluding his fellow yg entertainment's artist and talented duo, akdong musician's 200% and give love. within those slow progress, he made an acting debut with a supporting role for tvn drama, the idle mermaid.

continued to expand his wings for different supporting roles from cheese in the trap to a popular historical drama, moon lovers: scarlet heart ryeo. around that time, he eventually succeeded to hold a main character role for weighlifting kim bokjoo and the bride of habaek.

winning the best actor and accolades at prestige blue dragon awards after marking his big screen debut for being starred in an another historical but this time it is a film titled the great battle. joohyuk then agreed to grow and improve his acting career.
