biography
narcolepsy: a chronic sleep disorder characterized by overwhelming daytime drowziness and sudden attacks of sleep

diagnosed with the condition at the age of 12, he and his family then moved to korea when he was 14 for him to participate in a renowned research focused on his condition.

BEING FAMILIAR WITH BOTH THE RESEARCH AND THE STAFF, IT WASN'T A SURPRISE FOR HIM TO JOIN THE TEAM LATER ON WHEN HE ENROLLED IN THE RESEARCH'S UNIVERSITY.

spending most of his days and nights in the lab, the place had become his second home. he was expectedly at work when the abrupt news of the infectious disease spreading. he had fallen asleep in what seemed like another normal day to only wake up into a nightmare.

he's currently holed up in the research center with a few other colleagues as they now work on try to develop a cure for this unidentifiable disease. due to his condition, he doesn't leave the building too often to limit his chances of dying.

details
likes: pillows, soda, tea, podcasts, the red jello, strawberry ice cream, fried chicken, cold noodles
dislikes: coffee, mint,
hobbies: swimming, singing folk songs

- when he first joined the research as a child participant, the staff attached a donut shaped pillow to the back of his head so he wouldn't hurt himself whenever he fell asleep

- very sensitive to his surroundings so it's not too hard to wake him up from one of his sudden sleep attacks with a loud sound, shining a light in his face, and his most favorite: waking up to the smell of food.

- has not been able to contact his family since the disease nor his closest friends

persona
- very positive minded and possibly the only reason he's still hopeful for a better future. also very trusting of once he gets to know someone, a habit formed out of always having to be trustful of his doctors

- yet, weary of strangers. he's learned to be cautious of his surroundings knowing how vulnerable he is as a person

- can be a bit forgetful at times due to his diagnosis

q&a
has he ever met an infected?

nope. he's left his new sanctuary aka the lab only 6 times since the spread of the disease. but he knows he needs to start moving around to adapt to this new world

how close is his team on finding a cure?

not close at all. success seems pretty far away in terms of time, but they're still not giving up.

how has his life changed since the disease?

honestly? not much aside from the fact that his research focus has shifted from narcolepsy to finding a cure for this unknown disease. he's always been more of a homebody or in his case, a labbody.
