act 1: in a small apartment hidden away at the outskirts of seoul, yonghee lived a simple yet comfortable life with his mother.  she worked the night shifts as a caregiver at a nursing home nearby, and that was enough for the two of them.  they had a roof above their heads, clothes on their backs, and warm meals welcoming them whenever the other person came home from work or school.  yonghee was doing extremely well academically, albeit a certain development that constantly seemed to pester him when he approached middle school.  he would experience moments during the day where he'd be doing normal tasks one moment, only to open his eyes to the questioning gazes of his classmates, teachers, and sometimes his mother.  soon, it was discovered that the youth was diagnosed with narcolepsy.
even so, yonghee insisted on living a normal and comfortable life.  caffeine had become his best friend when medications were out of his reach.
and so life went on, where the stubborn but sleepy boy would continue to go about his day by brushing off this condition of his as a mere hindrance.  he didn't want to become a bigger burden to his mother - who taught him to become independant.
act 2: however, the desire to stay normal came crumbling down eventually.  it began when the color on yonghee's face began to drain when his mother introduced her new lover to him.  moreso, when the man corrected her and said they were now betrothed.  perhaps. in any other scenario, yonghee would have accepted the man with open (although somewhat wary) arms.  but this man was powerful, he was the minister of the interior.
life would change in many ways, and not in the ways which yonghee wanted them to.
impressed by yonghee's intelligence, the minister pulls a few strings to have him attend one of the most prestigious private academies in the country.  however, yonghee never sought to impress his step-father and held a hint of resentment for the man who invited himself into this life.  the boy didn't bother to work hard anymore, to the point where the minister began to look on at him in dissappointment.
word began to spread that the minister's stepson was lazy, unmotivated, rude, slept a lot (granted he couldn't control this part of him), but also snuck around to live music bars (his sleep at night was disruptive, music atleast calmed him down).  people began to think he was the classic case of a kid who became spoiled by the luxuries of power.
arguments ensued, multiple times.  those lectures went through one ear and out the other.  arguments continued, and sometimes his mother stepped in.
"yong-ah please, i know you're not like this.  please...your father helped us so much."
"we didn't need his help mom, we were fine as we are."  why couldn't you fall in love with a normal man.
still, yonghee would scrape by with bare minimum Cs.  with test scores that hinted at his greater potential.  all because he didn't want to be a greater burden to his mother.  barely scraping by, he attends university as a math major.  while it wasn't the prestigious ones his peers went to, nor was it the one his father tried to bribe him into, it was fine by yonghee's standards.
atleast it felt like he was living a normal life again.
at university, he met her.  she was kind, gentle, intelligent.  but most of all she never made any assumptions about yonghee, and even with the simplest of actions she could stir emotions that yonghee never felt before.  it wasn't long before yonghee would confess and the two would start dating.
life was going smooth so far.
act 3: but fate is always cruel.  a year since he was admitted to college, his step father asks him to meet him at his office.
but when he opens the door, the half eaten corpse of the minister awaits him.
that was not all, his girlfriend was soon reported dead as well.  it was said that an assailant had killed her after suspecting her to be infected.  his mother had also gone missing in the midst of this apocalypse -- and all yonghee could hope was that she was alive.

he has a very distinctive mole at the corner of his right eye.  he is actually very awake during the night time, and because of his disruptive sleeping habits during the day, he uses the night to finish the bulk of his work.
yonghee's laid back and unbothered, his lack of reaction to most things tends to make people think he has no empathy.  or that he is selfish.  and while his motives are relatively selfish, it's got nothing to do with his personality at large.  yonghee while docile and taciturn, gets along with people relatively well.  if asked for help, he will readily assist someone.  despite that, he has a habit of shirking from larger responsibilities.

• writing style 。 Para is my go-to, but I will script if that is what my roleplaying partner is comfortable with. Otherwise, reply length will depend on a lot of factors.  Mainly how appropriate it is for the plot/connection, and my muse.  I don't one-line unless the situation calls for it.  I do mirror sometimes, but it's unlikely.  If I have a lot of muse, my reply/starter length might become very long but you don't have to mirror!
• plotting style 。 Plotting depends on person to person but I do like developing a dynamic between characters as things progress.  Often times, I will PM you about what direction we could take our plots in and expand on certain details.
• Activity & Reply Speed 。 Reply speed heavily depends on my muse, but also how busy I am ooc.  Currently, I am not very busy, however this could change at a moments notice.
• note 。 Please don't poke me.  I am very patient with replies and expect the same.  If I do lose muse, I will tell you that. If you also lose muse, please tell me.
