PIXIE'S story begins both as and Jung Eunbi, in Ulsan, South Korea where she was born to a pair of musically gifted parents. A Korean father and a Chinese mother. 

A story straight from the picture books. They met in their young adulthood. The two of them were both part of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. She played violin, he was the conductor, and the rest was history. 

Every day of her life was filled with music. Her parents playing together in the living room. Her father in his study composing a new piece. Her mother upstairs tuning her instrument. She was 6 years old when her parents moved back to Shanghai, China (in the Changning District) to be closer to her mother's family. It wasn't long after that, Eunbi picked an instrument up herself. The violin first, under the tutelage of her mother. Then the harp. Eventually, when she was old enough, she was entrusted with her mom's guzheng - her Chinese zither. 

The instrument had been passed down through generations. There was a story in the instrument. Changning was known for being rich in culture, and the instrument was born in that culture. 

But as Eunbi's musical inclination and skill increased, her parents marriage fell apart. In between school lessons, Eunbi spent time with her mother learning the classical arts: guzheng, dance, calligraphy and more. When she slept, the fighting began. 

Eventually, her parents sat her down, and announced their separation. 

For the twelve year old she was at the time, it felt like a big slap to the face. 

Her father moved out, and her mother got stricter. There were no more breaks between lessons and school. No more free time. No more fun. It was absolutely suffocating being under the tiger mom that had grown from the separation. Every day, Eunbi felt closer and closer to losing it. And then she finally graduated high school. 

The big deceit was revealed when Eunbi announced she wasn't going to the special arts college her mother had been aspiring to for years. Instead, she was packing her bags, and moving in with her father. It was an ugly split, with lots of fighting, leaving Eunha crying the entire plane ride to Korea. 

It didn't get any better with her father, though. With nothing but a single suitcase, and a backpack full of scattered belongings, she showed up to her father's home to discover he had a new family. A new wife with two twin boys. She toughed it out for a week before being choked out of there as well. 

Her father didn't want anything to do with his old family anymore.

She was left with no other choice than to make it on her own. All she could afford was a dingy motel, in the basement of an even sketchier building. For weeks she stayed there, until her part time job at a convenience store allowed her enough money for an apartment of her own. 

It wasn't pretty. Her bathroom was in her kitchen, and her bedroom was her living room. She could stretch out her arms and touch each wall while standing in the middle of the room. But it was hers. There she stayed, working three jobs and swallowing the shattered remnants of the life she thought she knew. 

It was through a friend at her convenience store job that she learned of DSF hosting auditions. 

Needing a glimmer of hope, and music to reignite her life, she decided to go. Hand in hand with the friend, they showed up to the auditions, and each gave it their best. 

After weeks of biting her fingernails waiting for the results, they finally arrived. Eunbi/Baozi was out.

Pixie was in.   

Eunbi trained with DSF for months before she was selected to take part in their rookie girl group aurora. She debuted under the stage name Pixie and continues to perform to this day.   

WHILE Eunbi has not been debuted for long, she has already been apart of a scandal. In September 2022, she was seen at a club with former Janus member Cha Eunwoo, where he was caught in a physical altercation. The video was leaked over social media and resulted in her being on a two-month ban that finished Dec 10 2022. 

During her hiatus, she worked diligently on producing new music for aurora's comeback, with many of the tracks since her joining having her name in the credits in some shape or other. 

She resumed activities with aurora, completing many projects, until it was announced by DSF that aurora would be disbanding. Many members terminated their contracts to pursue different careers, but Pixie stayed put. 

She has since retreated to becoming a trainee, harnessing more of her talents and refining them. She's picked up a bit of a vlogging habit, using the camera to let Flickers get a dive into her life now (and maybe to reminisce on what could've been and what was), and to keep her occupied.

Being of mixed heritage, Eunbi has always struggled with feeling "not Chinese enough" and "not Korean enough". It always seemed to be that way with her parents. The kids at school used to when they heard her dad speak in Mandarin. Her coworkers in Korea for having a Korean name and speaking in an accent. 

It's led to a bit of an identity crisis, which is why she prefers to go by just Eunbi, the new name she's given herself.
