being born in an overall wealthy family in seoul, the busy capital of south korea, would prove to be a burden, if you ask the young heirs of multimillion-won-companies and holdings. now, if you would please divert your attention to their younger siblings and you'd observe quite a different picture. 

much like the difference in attitude in crown princes William and Harry (mountbatten-windsor, sunshines, you know who it is), the lives of firstborns clash with the lifestyles of the proceding offspring. 

Hoping to have you wondering on which side of the clash does Yongsun stand by now...

wonder no more, for this fiery dragon is no other than.... the second daughter of aircraft mogul Kim Dongyong.
after her mom got her tubes tied, and it was obvious that nothing more is coming out of there, aside from the two girls, big papa Kim decided to train his elder daughter to inherit his "empire", while Yongsun could make a more liberal decision.

and decide she did. multiple times.

you see, when you have the resources to become whatever you wish... you kinda get lost on track if you do not have a plan.
And with all her energy and ambition, what yongsun lacked greatly was indeed a plan.

Starting with flight school, she firstly launched herself into the air, quite literally, signing up for a flight attendant course - her dream after being around airports and aircrafts all her life. thankfully, she had the looks for it, and wouldn't have to go through plastic surgery, as many of her co-students, but she was advised to work on her body. so, as a nice workout she took up pole dancing - music had always been something she enjoyed, and pole dancing sculptured lean and long muscles, exactly what a stewardess would need.

being diligent was in her nature though, and soon she became good at her "extracurricular" and the trainer asked her to go to an expo. this made her resolve waver. could she pursue that instead of the flight anttendant life? dropping her initial idea, she focused on dancing more and toned down her education - she could become a tour guide after all, right? she knew seoul like the back of her hand and was a native korean. and since it's rarely a fixed job, she could do pole dancing on the side, maybe teach some classes or do more expos... what could go wrong...

turns out - many things. it was a stupid thing, really. her neck pains started acting up. it was a chronic pain in the upper body that she mostly ignored, but would act up and make her unable to hold on if active for too long. so long for her teaching classes and doing expos.

But now she was so in tune with following the rhythm, she had to find something... drums! that wouldn't require her to hang upside down from a pole on a daily basis. this was the point though, when her mom decided to remind her that time waits for no one and she sould really start thinking of something solid. in a whirl of emotion and a stray flyer, advertising an audition at Diamond soul factory, she went up, sang her favourite song, played some drums  and somehow got accepted.
she has no realization of the vocal prowess she possesses, mainly goes through life with a fake-it-till-you-make-it attitude, and things seem to work out in her favor for now. so, let's sit back down and see how it unravels
