Although nobody would turn to the foxes or any deities to help them through the bad and the good, they took it well in their stride and helped them in whatever way they could offer. It was a lesson young Dahyun learnt from the adults and despite how many times she had been shooed away for being so oddly weird by saying her parents were the fox spirits residing in the mountains whenever she came down, she still forgave them. One day, an evil spirit possessing a shaman spread rumours around the village at the bottom of the mountain they were presiding over, that the fox spirits were nothing but menacing deities who only preyed on the poor and ate their organs to live. Because of it, they set fire to the forests on it, burning every single animal, plant and trees on it.

The combined power of the family members including the young Dahyun who only had enough to save one tree managed to extinguish the fire but not the ashes and bodies it left behind. The very sight made her pretty distraught and she was pretty determined never to mingle with humans ever again given their raw nature and what they could do. Wars began, evolutions of both time and human kept changing over the years and eventually, it had came to the time where beings like her and her family weren’t needed anymore. Thus, Dahyun and her elder sister were sent away to live in the city now otherwise known as Magnolia Springs, both working as veterinarians in their quaint veterinary clinic, tucked out of sight of the main road.
