Ryujin is the second youngest among 4 siblings. She has 2 older siblings, one male, Wonho, and one female, Sohee, and of course, she has a younger sister, Yuna. She had been academically inclined since she was a kid. She managed to get a scholarship to the US in California, Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts. There she met her first and only boyfriend, Kun. They lasted for awhile until a misunderstanding occured which led to their break-up. She continued on with her studies then moved back to Korea, where she auditioned for DSF with her Yuna.

Ryujin got into DSF, even joining a survival show, where she placed 8th and was part of the debut lineup of the group: Crown Jewels. There in the company, she met her ex, and even became his groupmate. After awhile, she was in the debut lineup for a new girl group but had to step down. She then continued with her studies, pursuing music, and found her way back to DSF, as a producer this time.
