He was created by someone he refers to as "the creator". In the process of making, there was a disturbance, giving him a defect, he had never seen it as one. The boyfriend was created as  prince of demons. In the process of creating his true form, the creator accidentally put two personalities in one - Xiao Zhan as the main personality and Hua Cheng as his true form. In his humanoid form, he is a tall and skinny individual, with short black hair. One of his eyes are bloody red, while other is brown.  He can use his powers fully only in his true form. he is one of the "defects", always shifting from one personality to another. he is extremely unconscious about his hands - the fingertips are pitch black, the blackness spreading till his knuckles. the black skin is decorated with lace drawings. He can make his claws appear or disappear, usually even his nails or claws are black. Right where the blackness ends, the shiny silver lines move up, they cover his veins. When he is extremely angry - they change to red.

In his true form,  Hua Cheng is beautiful - he has crow black hair, long enough to reach his waist. He has dark claws, sharp enough to pierce flesh in one go. In his true form, he appears in traditional black or red hanfu, carrying around a red umbrella. In his true form he can make silver flowers bloom and butterflies appear, he refer to them as - the deadly souls of the sinners, whom he had trapped in the form of butterflies. Hua Cheng is capable of shape-shifting and telekinesis. He always carry around his sword - e-ming, which is capable to cut trought even strongest of the materials.

HE LIKES candies, he always has a pocket full with lollipops. he adores cute and friendly people, tho he knows he is not worth being befriended by them. he likes animals, especially bunnies and butterflies.

he dislikes stuck up, proud yet dumb people. if he strikes a conversation and someone offends him or his beliefs, he is automatically considering him an enemy. he dislikes romance, he thinks love between two people should be kept between themselves and not shown to others.

HE LIKES TO DRAW, YET SOMETIMES HIS DRAWINGS ARE TOO VULGAR AND GORE. HE CAN HUM A SELF-COMPOSED SONGS FROM TIME TO TIME, THO HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO PLAY AN INSTRUMENT. HE ENJOYS diy and can be crafty, he can make anything out of nothing. he is proud when it comes to his art of sword wiedling, he is excelent in it.

he can make silver butterflies appear in the air, whenver he is around, those are deadly souls of the sinners.
