"Hyunwoo", luck was one of its meanings. The name was given to him because his parents wanted a human child— and chances of having a human baby was higher than having one born as an angel or demon anyway, with evolution and whatnot. There was hope that he would be of human race but all that was shattered when a little "W" mark was soon etched on his forehead when he turned 3. Tough luck, bestowing him a good name didn't manifest their prayers. 

It was fine; they comforted themselves, and chose to suppress what Hyunwoo truly is, to lie to him and tell him those scenes that played in his head were just dreams (or nightmares). Repeatedly, they told him everyday that he's human and that angels and demons were all stories people made up for fun. He did believe them for a while, he was too young and inexperienced then. That backfired on his parents as Hyunwoo's powers grew stronger each day and when his friends (who were also demons) shared with him about demons, he realises that he has been lied to. He couldn't really understand why, and when he asks, he was simply told "you're too young to understand anything". They would tell him that angels and demons were toxic and that their lifestyle would eventually wear him down so to save himself, he should learn from the humans instead.

After finding out the truth about his identity, his parents were stricter with him: sending him for tuition, music classes, swimming lessons, ballet, anything to occupy Hyunwoo with. Although he did gain several skills, it was at the expense of his freedom and no matter how much he tried to beg his parents to let him out to play with his friends, they turn it into a sermon instead, trying to brainwash him into their beliefs, telling him that humans are always right and their way of living was the one true way.

Growing up, the couple never bothered trying to explain to Hyunwoo what those scenes in his head were and why they felt so vivid; so the child was always left guessing what his 'dreams' meant.  

He never understood why his parents aligned themselves with humans. His father (Ok Minhyuk) was an angel and his mother (Choi Jinah) was a demon. They were of races more powerful than humans, so why did they lower themselves to their level? They invested so much (if not all) of their time trying to help the humans, personally visiting those who think angels and demons are real to convince them otherwise. This resulted in a lack of time spent on Hyunwoo and over time, he starts to grow distant. It was as if their son didn't matter to them and they would rather spend the time nurturing strangers into their beliefs.

It made Hyunwoo wonder if humans were so great— to the young's mind, they were the ones who took his parents away from him after all. "If humans were right, then why are they taking my parents and leaving me behind? Why is nobody trying to help me instead?" these questions continue to taunt Hyunwoo until he found a love for sports at 14. Thereafter, he spends all of his time running around, dribbling balls, anything which has to do with being outdoors and away from his desk, he would do. 

The years went by in a flash from then; at 16, he was scouted by professional coaches and got offered numerous sports scholarships to complete highschool. At 18, instead of entering university as his parents had wished him to, he officially joined the national soccer team and made it to the official player list, starting his career as the youngest star of the country's team. 

All was well to say the least: he was doing what he loves and with that, came fame and wealth. Everything seemed to be going smoothly for Hyunwoo until a big incident happened in his 3rd year on the team. At just the young age of 20, he had suffered a ligament tear and naturally, no human should be able to tolerate that pain. He should've been put out of play but his stubborn nature (and his pride) insisted to be involved and the manager was left with no choice but to let him continue— a huge mistake because the next injury he suffered from caused a permanent rip of his muscles.

It was all thanks to that player. That player who ruined his dreams, ruined his passion, ruined the only thing he enjoys doing and the only thing he finds freedom in. Needless to say, that person did receive a penalty, but that didn't coax the rage that rushed through him. He wanted revenge, and knowing that the player was a measly human being angered Hyunwoo more; in blind rage, he took it out on the player after the game, throwing punches and kicks until security had to drag him away. 

His anger only worsened when his parents chided him, slapped him, yelled at him for beating the player up. They were still siding the humans and blamed him for everything that had happend. "You deserved it." "It's your fault." "What did we tell you?" "Serves you right for not listening to us." It made Hyunwoo wonder if there was anyone who's actually good, regardless of race. Nonetheless, his hatred for humans continued to grow.

Without a degree and any other qualifications to get a stable job, he finds himself stuck in a rut, unsure of what to do to support himself. He refused to live with his parents for any longer, and ran away after stealing their cash, credit cards, and hacking into their bank accounts.

There's never a day Hyunwoo goes without feeling a pinch of regret; if only he had been more careful. But the hatred and anger towards humans was bigger. He detested them and believes he's superior, naturally born to oppress them for he was more powerful than them.

Humans were pathetic beings who need to cheat in order to achieve what they gain— this is what resounds loudest in his mind. 

His parents were as good as dead to him as well, the only benefit that they have was the money and fame that Hyunwoo uses shamelessly; using that wealth to open his own modelling agency in 2019 as well as his own private apartment.

gmt+8 but i might be online/offline at odd timings. my activity relies heavily on my muse but my muse is very fickle so my replies might be sporadic at times. i definitely respond to sns threads faster than rping threads since those are easier to write.

semi-para, para, multi-paras. i don't think i'll ever hit novella (i don't think i've written one before honestly) but if it's a long and very detailed plot, i might be able to type that much. i mostly mirror the length of your post and i'm really not picky with length so if you write too little/much, it's alright!

mainly write friendship, casual, angst, comedy. i like slowburns and plot twists a lot! i'm down for anything with the exception of plotted romance and ; i'm more interested in how a character would be able to bring out or showcase the different sides of my oc. haven't really written gore, horror, action. 

descriptive / narrative. detailed 3rd but if you're more comfortable with writing in 1st, i would be able to accomodate. i'm a very straightforward writer so if you're looking for a rping partner who purple proses and uses poetry and the likes in every reply, i'm definitely not your go-to. simple english as well, but i do try to explain and expand so that my replies do not get too dry.
