Kim Jongin, was born as a 3rd cousin to the crowned prince and his family, took on the position of a royal guard, just like his father was. His mother, however was a noble, and while Jongin could have rightfully taken a title as a noble and continued that work, he felt that following the path of his father was more suitable for him, and after finally getting permission from the royal family, and his family, he followed suit in his dream.
