• mirinae reminds people of a treasured doll—protected, fragile looking and meek—when she's anything but. a newcomer on a strange land, she's an enigma to most and a timid kitten to a few. mirinae puts on a distant and mysterious air. due to her childhood, she's cynical and difficult to approach as more often that not she'd cut small conversation short. other than having a little problem in trusting others, she's inexperienced in socializing hence cold front.

• a curious, black cat perso-nified. once her curiousity is piqued, she tends to dig deeper than necessary and strings in trouble she'll need to patch.

• she's quietly competitive and likes a little flying race. holds pride in the things that she works hard on and talents that she hones. might regain her pride back when she loses it but she isn't a sour loser.

• while her vocal cords might work less, her brain gears are almost always turning—she's thinking, absorbing knowledge, regretting her life choices.

• even to her closest ones, she has a hard time opening up. at times she thinks its unnecessary to whine to others when she can, possibly, overcome it by herself.

an outsider of both worlds.

• she's a great-great-great(?)- grandaughter of the aurologist who was called from seoul to new york in 1926 to investigate the sinister presence of an obscurus.

• somewhat an outsider of both worlds.

• her birth father's a squib, who was a handball athlete now a coach, while her mother is a pureblood witch who delved into divinations although she doesn't exactly have the second sight. so there have been many times she's wrong and was labeled as a quack by muggles and witch/wizards alike.

• mirinae has been called the daughter of a quack / liar / crazy woman.

• she was homeschooled before furthering studies in hogwarts

• never really accepted the fact that she was different when she was little; she doesn't want to be like her mother.

• being able to fly and literally reaching greater heights, eventually learning about quidditch, warmed her up into being a witch.

• her mother's side of the family are a part of the small korean ministry of magic and viewed her mother as a waste of magic gene.

• her pureblood cousins are either born stuck up or forced to never really get involved with her by her uncles and aunts.

• her father's distant side of the family may have been a line of pureblood royals/high status from joseon age who has helped protect the kings discreetly with charms and potions.

• they don't really acknowledge her father but they do acknowledge mirinae at least a little. her father had resented mirinae because of it but seeing how mirinae disliked herself being a witch at first—a little like how he hated being a squib—he came around and helped mirinae accept that fact.
