Once there was one of the powerful families in the wizarding world, they are the Snow family. They are most famous family in Slytherin house as they had a strong bond with Blacks and Malfoys, however they are valiant as they are righteous, during the Second Wizarding War, the Snows ran into hiding as they couldn't bear to risk their long line of their own blood dying by the hands of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and the Death Eaters. However, one Snow stood during the time was Aspen Snow, despite being a Slytherin that time, he stood against his ground to protect Hogwarts from the Dementors and Death Eaters, he was one of those Slytherin who breaks the stereotypes of what others see in their house.

Despite being a crafty and assertive student, Aspen Snow has no desire to be the best student in his year. Yet he graduated as Hogwarts alumnus after the Winzarding War ended. He has no desire to be in the position of Ministry of Magic or Department of Magical Law Enforcement, he simply wanted to travel all over the world and learn things that he didn't know exist in the other countries. He was a traveler, a writer and a historian. He made some books from Muggle Studies and Muggle Arts, as well as Music. However, during his travels, he met a beautiful woman named Minhee who was also a witch but unregistered because of her bloodline is used on shamanism in their country.

Aspen spend months to stay and study South Korea while spending time with Minhee and shows him the way of being a shaman. Slowly, he fell in love with her, so does she. Minhee's family were strict but because Aspen is great with charms and spells, he was easily accepted in her family, letting him take Minhee in his travels and write them letters from time to time.

He decided to introduce Minhee to his family, his mother and father, were reluctant to meet Aspen's lover. Minhee was a kind and loving woman, which Aspen caughts her attention because of her selfless acts. During her stay inside the manor, Aspen's parents saw who she really is and apologized to her. A few years later, they got married and not for long Minhee gave birth to a pair of twins.

Upon giving birth, one twin was weak and unresponsive while the other is crying out loud. Despite having their differences, Aspen and Minhee accepted them. They named them Asteria and Asterine. The twins grew up loving each other, Asteria is a cheerful type while Asterine is a quiet one, the two never leave their sides because of how close they were.

They both love to draw and sing for their family and they were usually taught by their father about spells and charms, as well as being witches. Everything seemed normal until one night, Asteria figured through their father's books that she can make anything possible, she is a genius when it comes on tinkering and Asterine is the witness to see how her twin can make a small device that could make a flashing light without any chemicals in it. But this time is different, she wanted to make an invention even more useful when fighting off enemies.

Asteria tinkers and tries to turn it on, she is sure that her invention works. But Asterine on the other hand, had a bad feeling about her experiment and always told her twin to be careful. And when she clicked to turn her invention on, an explosion occurred. The room was almost blast into ruins, Asterine flew against the wall and she fell unconscious, her head bleeding in the process. Aspen and Minhee came to the room after the explosion, they were horrified to see Asterine and the room, they saw Asteria's clothes but not her body as it disappeared into thin air.

They carried Asterine to safety and treated her wounds but when the doctor came and check on her, it appears that Asterine fell unconscious and got amnesia from the accident. Minhee felt devastated to hear from this and the fate that befall to Asteria, her father had decided to fix things up. He told Minhee to get all Asteria's things and piled them up and hide it inside the attic, he doesn't want Asterine to wake up knowing she has a twin as she got amnesia from Asteria's doing.

Hiding all the remnants and fragments of her lively childhood with Asteria, she woke up not knowing what had happened to her. Her parents covered it all up well, they lied to her that she got into an accident where something blows up inside the room and Aspen told her that it was his fault before hugging the dumbfounded Asterine. Her memories were completely erased, as well as Asteria's existence but not for long.

Through out the years prior to her memory loss, her parents always keeping an eye on Asterine as they know that she isn't as cheerful and talkative like her deceased twin. Nobody knows what had happened to Asteria, Minhee and Aspen knows that their cheerful daughter died  as she was burned to ashes in that explosion but no one knows what happened, no one but Asterine before she lost all her memories.

When she was walking in the garden, she saw a Thestral, looking down on a bush which seemed to be watching something in it. Asterine didn't feel scared, rather she was amazed by it before she walked closer to it and looked at the direction where it was looking. A dying white snake with their born child, Asterine picked up the small baby white snake and it seemed to like her comfort. She named it Snowflakes and soon she makes it her companion. Slowly she understands what Snowflakes is saying, only then she realizes she is speaking parseltongue. A rare ability to communicate with any kind of snakes, serpents and pythons.

Due to what happened, they decided to change school for Asterine, they don't want to let their old friends to know what happened. In her new school, Asterine was acting strange and her classmates seems to have doubts on befriending her as she was talking to herself but she is the top of the class, when anyone wanted her help, her gaze is cold and unnerving, thinking she didn't want to help anyone.

When she got a letter from Hogwarts, she has no reaction of it. Asterine doesn't know what's her purpose and what she really wanted, but she agreed to enroll Hogwarts and road in Hogwarts Express, she made few friends while on the way and so far she has no troubles with anyone until she was sorted in Slytherin and her few friends inside the cabin all sorted in different houses. She was alone again, and starting a new year in the infamous Wizarding school.
