❛ born in wales to two korean parents, nabi was known as the golden child in her family. well, she was their only golden child. mina jo and hak jo lived in a small suburban area right out off the outskirts of the capital. the couple lived a quiet life and grew quite fond of their daughter being their only source of action in this hauntingly dangerous world. however much they could, the couple tried their hardest to shield their daughter from the outside world. little did they know that their ray of sunshine would soon have to face the real world at the young age of 6. a fatal accident soon befell her parents as their lives were taken away by a tragic disaster that was covered up as an accident to the public eye. nabi had no one to care for her anymore. she was alone and had no one to fall back on. 

nabi spent most of her years in an orphanage somewhere close to london. it wasn't the ideal living space but, she had to make do with what was given to her. most of her time spent was looking out the window into the bustling streets as she hoped for a better future. to say the least, nabi didn't think that her wish would become a definite reality. a family was interested in adopting and so happened to come across her profile. the pain they imagined nabi to have had gone through made them want to provide her with the best life they could. with that, the family took her in and nabi was not any more known as nabi jo, but as nabi lockehart. 

it was no secret that the lockehart family was a family with a background overflowed with witches and wizards. they had no trouble revealing themselves to nabi and had hoped that it would have made her open more about herself. it did the trick. nabi didn't know how but she somehow clicked with the family and enjoyed every bit she could spend with them. as her 11th birthday soon came rolling in, nabi was in utter shock from a letter she had received from hogwarts. almost oblivious to it (though, the family did talk about the school on rare occasions), nabi gave the letter to her now parents- and much to their astonishment, they were in awe that she was accepted. the family figured that nabi acquired her ability from a distant ancestor and did not dwell much on the subject. when she arrived, and before the hat could even touch her head, the word 'hufflepuff' echoed across the hall with much pride. much to her surprise, nabi did not think that she would have been sorted into hufflepuff. though, as time passed, she soon grew to love her house and everyone in it. throughout her years in hogwarts, nabi spent most days talking to magical creatures that she would encounter on a frequent basis. soon as she graduated, nabi decided to continue her studies further into university。

∿  she has a journal that consists of all of her findings on magical creatures throughout her school years at hogwarts。

∿ although most likely against the rules, nabi finds herself out at most nights stargazing and enjoying the peace and quiet。

∿ rarely ever shows strong emotions of sadness, anger or disgust. nabi has a hard time making friends and usually prefers to bottle up all of her feelings so that she doesn't hurt anyone around her。

∿  not much of a talker, but when she is set on something, she puts all her heart into it and shows her passion and admiration towards it through actions。
