Zhou Xia was born in Harden, China. Where she was taken care by a single mother, she was raised without knowing whom her father is but she is a helpful yet quiet girl living in a poorer environment where she works with her mother to make a living. Xia learns how to save money and conserve their energy. She learns to be honest and kind to others thanks to her mother who always supports her and being a righteous person.

Her mother, Zhou Xiaoyu, is a single mother and raised her only daughter to be a righteous and honest was once a barista back in Tokyo. She thought her daughter every single things about being a barista and how to make drinks to people. Xia listens well to her and even in school she kept her mother's teachings to apply it during her middle school up until high school, some students bullied her for being dependent to her mother and because of how she look. This causes her to build a low self-esteem on herself but she didn't let them get personal as she was one of the top students in their class.

One scout seemed to look for foreign blood in China and stumbles upon her who just won the singing contest and asked her to get an audition in Nova Lux Entertainment, because of their situation she needs to help her mother get to a life they always wanted, she took the offer and eventually both her and her mother got a free flight and moved to Seoul, South Korea where she starts to audition and became a trainee for two years until she became a member of a famous girl group Pandora.
