after the birth of victoria, another girl was born minutes after her. their father named her veronica, both their mother and father rejoiced as they had a pair of twins who are very identical. however, shin gihoon's family back in south korea demanded to raise his children in daegu but with no other choice, he went back to korea with veronica and left her with the caring hands of her grandparents. gihoon persistently not to give her any names but veronica which they did.
veronica lived in daegu with her grandparents as they served to a very traditional family who were shamans and monks. at the very young age, she was trained to do self-defense with her granduncle to prove that she's capable to inherit their grandfather's treasure once he passed away, but veronica never wanted to inherit it and be a part of their family. her aunt herself told her that she can do many things out of the box, she was inspired by her older cousin, baram, to live in seoul and become a part of lotus entertainment.
however, seeing how veronica almost failing on their school, she was removed in the line of succession of inheriting their grandfather's treasure. she felt lonely, as her family expected her to be the confident one but all this time, she has a low self-esteem and tend to not engaged in a serious arguments.
when she became 16, veronica discovered that she has a father and mother from the states with her sister. she only knew them when both of her parents passed away and this devastated veronica and she starts to hate her family for not telling her that she has mom and dad, as well as a sister. when her father's coffin came, she could only see his face on a portrait, her sister, victoria, dressed in black hanbok. for the first time in 16 years, the twins met each other, in their father's funeral.
during their funeral, veronica tries to interact with her older twin sister but victoria is still traumatized by what has happened a week ago. she couldn't reciprocate what really happened back in the states as she has no knowledge that she has a sister and a mom and dad, she wanted to comfort victoria but seeing as they only met for the first time, she might be a bit hostile to her.
a few months had passed, veronica and victoria shared a room but they never been too close. both were different ways of living, raised by different family, their topics were never intertwined, the twins grew detached from each other more. however, that one afternoon, veronica was cleaning their room when she sees the family picture of victoria and their mom and dad in a frame and touches it, the hate only grew and turned into jealousy. victoria sees her touching her things before she scolded her, she's still couldn't forget what had happened to her family and it only made it worst when she blamed veronica for not being there. instead of fighting back, veronica crumpled in tears as victoria is still mad at her for not being there.
weeks later, victoria was packing her things in the middle of the night, getting sick of too much traditions putting on her. veronica was awake by then and sees her packing up and was going to leave when she stops her, victoria swatted her hand away from her before telling her the words that would scar veronica in her life time. "don't ever take the same way as me, stay where you are and never find me." then victoria left their home and travels to seoul to become a trainee in lotus.
it takes a few years for her to convinced her grandparents to give her permission to go to seoul and find victoria nonetheless that her twin herself told her not to go find her. her aunt helped her packed things and went with her to seoul where she works as a barista with baram as she is still a trainee waiting for her to be debuted.
when renu debuted with victoria, veronica is already a trainee and since the staffs knew that victoria and veronica are twins, they advice veronica to wear glasses or mask every time she practices. since the staffs was told by victoria that they aren't close, she told them to hide veronica's face from the public despite being able to be a trainee.

as she grew older, she tried her best to sing, dance and work in a part-time. and then figured that her cousin, shin baram became a member of pandora. this urges her to go to seoul and became a trainee in lotus entertainment, also studies in seoul university during her trainee days. she's a fangirl of pandora and x.mpire whom she always see every day in lotus entertainment.
