Yuzu was born in Japan with a loving family. He had one older brother who he'd always look up to. Unfortunately, like his older brother, Yuzu was a troublemaker. His brother would set up pranks for their parents, and Yuzu would be the one to lure them to the trap. Eventually, his parents got tired of Yuzu being such a nuisance and sent him away to a "boarding school" of sorts. However, Yuzu would've rather been all alone than be in a place where he'd be treated like a criminal. So, he left. He waited until he had an opportunity to leave, and he bolted. He ran as far as his legs would take him.

After running for hours, he collapsed and lost consciousness. The next day he awoke in a strange place in the middle of the woods. How far had he run? Was he even anywhere near civilization? He didn't know, and didn't care. He was on his own now. So he taught himself how to hunt and cook his own food with things he'd found on the forest floor. All the while, he kept travelling. One day, he finally found a place with civilized beings. People like him. Glad to finally not be alone again, he more than happily joined the pack.
