to the south of the land of zoraq, where the land was beige and sand, was the settlement of a clan of unique talent–the montefurors. while most of the clans were skilled in various arts of combat, this family excelled in the art of weapon forging.

born to a mother of elvish origins and a master weaponsmith of a father, ivyalen was regarded as a great successor to the montefuror name. it was instilled in the young girl that the family and the nation came first above all, that her life is owed to the people of the kingdom. she didn't understand the entire premise; how was she going to lay her life for some people she'll never even be friends with or even those who hated them (oh children and their thinking...).

it was no surprise Ivyalen would be talented as long as she puts her mind to it. in less than three years Ivyalen, fifteen, managed to mastered weapon forging and already started sword training.

years later, ivyalen was all grown and now understood what her ancestors told her. in small moments, she would find her mother struggling to politely converse with other nomadic zoraqis without them spitting on the ground she stood on. so what if she was an elf? what if her daughter was tainted with a creature's blood? while most of the zoraqis were friendly to them, there was still a considerable population who despised them. ivyalen hated witnessing this. ivyalen hated seeing her mother withstand the insults and turn to her with a pained smile. it was there a spark of flame started in her that drove her to become a great leader. the adolescent placed her sword aside and picked up the books.

to get to where she wants to, she has to work her way to the top. Ivyalen delved into the politics of the zoraqi court, starting as the representative of the extensive house of montefuror. the young aspirant worked her way up until she had a seat in the royal court as the councilor in cultural matters. with her exceptional hardwork and remarkable talents, queen adira caught her attention and allowed ivyalen to work under her wing. this overjoyed her, she was steps closer to her goal of abolishing alienation of non-humans in zoraq as long as the queen favored her. as part of her assignment, ivyalen traveled across nations, learned new cultures, and met all kinds of people.

yet, queen adira fell ill and the court started to prepare for the nominations of the succeeding queen. while queen adira pushed for the ascension of ivyalen as successor, tradition upholding men in court was adamant for her to rule. after long debates, it was determined that ivyalen is to be seated on the throne.

it felt like a ride for the new queen to get here, she was once just a girl who dreamt of peace among the citizens of zoraq and now she has the power to do that. she had crafted a whole agenda to prove herself and it was not just for show of course. ivyalen aimed to welcome non-humans in their community without retaliation, to promote traditional arts from generation to generation, to establish firm trade routes across the kingdom and with other kingdoms, and develop the educational system within zoraq. this may sound ambitious but that is what ivyalen is about–ambition. 

the reign was peaceful also thanks to the current king of zoqar, the kingdom flourished despite myths from neighboring lands. the new queen travelled across the land to ensure peace and prosperity amongst the people. that was until the invasion of king helias into their homeland did they plunge into chaos again. ivyalen was forced to postpone her agenda and fight in the frontlines. never did she think there would be a war after centuries of the treaty of harmony. 

ivyalen prepared the soldiers to the best of her abilities: cooperating in strategic planning to attend to commoner's needs, aiding in military planning, and coming to the frontlines to stabilize the situation or raise her sword if she has to. but not even a month has passed until an informant came bearing news that king helias was dead. while the battle was all over, queen ivyalen was aware that this was only the beginning of a war that is to come.

it was rumored that the zoraqi queen was behind the assassination of the late kronic king yet these were baseless accusations and ungrounded rumors. unless...
