background :: born to a poor single mother in a small cottage that was situated a little too close to the frost forest, theon was immediately considered as an outcast. however, as his mother was all that he had, he did the best he could in everything to be able to provide for her, and eventually made a name for himself growing up as a genius and a prodigy that would surely benefit the kingdom of aeris in some way. after a formal education, he was eventually taken in by an older member of the royal court as an apprentice and was taught their ways. after coming home one day with the good news, his mother had disappeared, leaving him the message that she couldn't bear to see him give his life to the kingdom as his father did. he discovered that his father was also a member of the royal court that had left his son and his lover behind to pursue his duty, and theon's blood turned to ice as he heard his mother's call from the depths of the frost forest. for a moment, he almost succumbed to that call, but he couldn't. turning and running away, theon buried himself in work and became the royal advisor of aeris. he held the position for four years before king sylvain was assassinated, and he was hastily voted into power, much to the pleasure of the people.
