ot much is known about Matty's upbringing aside from the facts that he grew up in both Newcastle and Cheshire and was raised- alongside his younger brother, Louis- by actors Denise Welch and Tim Healy. He attended Wilmslow High School where he met his bandmates Ross MacDonald, Adam Hann and George Daniel in which Adam approached the future frontman with a desire to play at an organised gig for teenagers.

In typical fashion, the newly formed band began by playing covers before eventually writing an original piece. From there, the rest is history: dropping EPs and albums alike, partaking in the occasional collab, traveling from country to country to entertain a large fanbase, and, of course, been achieving numerous nominations and awards under the band's name The 1975.

•.*★ writing style。 I strictly write in 3rd pov and am capable of reply lengths spanning from para to novella. I also have a subconscious habit of mirroring, so kindly take note and most importantly do not feel pressured to match my replies! 

•.*★ plotting style。 I'm available for plotting and winging from anyone who'd like to initiate a thread. In regards to the former, the set up of said plot will determine who writes the starter, but more often than not am I willing to do the honors.
