Chaeyeon is quite shy at times but once she gets close to someone, she shows her quirky side. She's quite the old woman, often making sure to care for those aorund her, even the way she talks make her seem older than she is.
about me
Born in Japan (Miyagi Prefecture), Chaeyeon was the eldest amongst her siblings before her parents separated. Once her father and mother remarried, she became the second eldest, having an old step-brother, a younger step-brother, and a younger half-brother. She had been dancing ever since she could remember. She was part of a b-boy dance group in Japan that competed locally. Once she moved to South Korea with her mom, sisters, and step-dad, she studied at Hanlim and joined another dance group, joining a show called Street Woman Fighter but managed to only reach semi-finals with her group. She was the youngest member of the said dance troupe, competing at only 15.

Chaeyeon then joined DSF where she was a trainee for a short while and became the main dancer of DIA. Due to an eye complication, she had to be on hiatus for a few comebacks and the world tour.
