BACKGROUND
Somi's life has been quite difficult ever since she was born. Her mother, a local from Dandelion, met her Dutch-Canadian father in the city when the former was working there as a chef and the latter was her manager. The problem was her father was already married to someone else. He didn't stay in the city for long, going back to Canada even after he heard that Somi's mother was pregnant. Her mother tried to love Somi. She really did but her child always reminds her of the bastard man who broke her heart. So, not wanting to have anything more to do with her, Somi's mother sent her to Dandelion, where her grandmother lives.
Somi has lived a simple life since then - well, as normal as it can get for a person who looks a little different from the rest. She got bullied for being half-foreigner when she was a kid but she managed through it. After graduating highschool, she decided not to apply to any college. Instead, she started working as a grocery store cashier. It's not exactly her dream job but she gets enough money and time for her passion and favorite hobby, which is painting.

Her lack of parental figure and the pampering of her grandmother to make up for it probably caused Somi to grow up to be a rather selfish person, who puts herself first more than anything or anyone. That doesn't mean she doesn't care about anyone else but if there will be a time when she has to choose, she will often choose herself (this comes with exceptions but that is rarely the case).
She is spontaneous and tends to pick up a lot of hobbies only to drop them afterwards. She loves learning new things but most of all, she has a passion for painting. She rarely shows people her works. In fact, she goes out of her way to hide them from people she doesn't trust enough.
She tends to not be talkative around new people, having learnt the hard way not to get to attached instantly. Unfortunately for her, she still hasn't learned how to let go once she does get attached. So, she tends to be unnecessarily clingy to her friends and loved ones, afraid that one day, they'll get tired of her and disappear from her life.
